CAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Common Admission Test(CAT 2024) is the major MBA entrance exam conducted by IIMs in India. The CAT exam is conducted once a year only with 2.5 lakh to 3 lakh applicants every year. So, from these statistics, it is clear how tough it is to get into IIMs with good CAT marks. The registered candidates must follow the guidelines on the CAT exam day.

CAT 2024 Application Form Correction

The CAT exam application correction window was closed on September 30, 2024. Applicants can update the photograph, signature and city preference by using the CAT login credentials. The CAT applicants must carefully fill in the details in the form to avoid correction but in case some mistake is made then the authorities open the CAT form correction window for 3 days allowing the candidates to edit certain details in the already submitted form. One cannot edit personal details (Date of birth, email address, mobile number etc.) entered during registration. If a mistake has been made in these details, then candidates will have to register again with a new email ID. Application form details such as Academics, Work Experience etc. entered during registration can also not be edited. Generate CAT login 2024 credentials using a unique email ID and mobile number initially. Thereafter fill in the CAT registration details and upload the necessary documents in the CAT exam form 2024. CAT application 2024 is accepted only by the payment of CAT exam 2024 registration fees.

How to fill out the CAT 2024 application form?

Candidates can follow the below steps to create the CAT login 2024 credentials:

  • On the CAT 2024 official website, iimcat.ac.in, click on 'New Candidate Registration'
  • Enter details such as name as it appears on the class 10th/SSC certificate, date of birth, email address, country, mobile number
  • Then click on 'Generate OTP' and you will be redirected to fill the CAPTCHA and submit OTP for verification

After creating the login credentials, follow the steps to fill out the CAT application form 2024.

  • Click on 'Registered Candidate Login' and login using the CAT exam ID and password
  • Fill in the details like personal, academic, work experience, programs, test city
  • Enter relevant work experience (if applicable)

CAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

IIM Admission Process

The IIMs has release the IIM selection process pdf in the CAT official website. IIM MBA admission is done based on the sectional and overall score obtained by candidates in the CAT exam 2024.
