TANCET MBA CounsellingTANCET MBA Counselling 2018 - Anna University has begun the online application process of TANCET MBA 2018 counselling on June 13 and will continue until July 12, 2018. According to the official schedule, the application process will be followed by the publication of the rank list, receiving of the call letter and finally the Counselling session for the final seat allotment. Post TANCET MBA counselling 2018, listed candidates will be allotted seats in one of the participating institutes of the state of Tamil Nadu. Anna University usually declares the TANCET MBA counselling 2018 list based on the ranks of the qualified candidates who have appeared in the TANCET MBA exam. After each round of counselling of TANCET MBA 2018, candidates can check the seat vacancy status of each participating institutes. Based on the number of vacant seats, the number of counselling rounds will be decided by the conducting officials. Important Documents required for TANCET MBA 2018 Counselling

Candidates to appear for the counselling rounds will have to carry the following documents mentioned underneath:

  •  Printed online application of TANCET MBA 2018 counselling

  •  The Score Card TANCET MBA 2018

  •  The Hall Ticket of TANCET MBA 2018

  •  Copy of mark sheets of Class X, Class XII, all semesters of Bachelor’s Degree

  •  Provisional/Degree Certificate

  •  Permanent Community Card (except other (OC) candidates)

  •  Transfer Certificate

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)

  • Certificate from District Medical Board for Differently Abled candidates (if Applicable)

  • Nativity Certificate if required

  • Self-addressed stamped envelope for TANCET MBA counselling 2018 call letter

  • Self-addressed stamped acknowledgement card

How to fill TANCET MBA Counselling Registration Form 2018?

Aspirants should abide by the following steps to successfully fill the TANCET MBA 2018 counselling registration form-

  •  Official website of Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu needs to be visited.

  •  ‘Register Online Application’ tab to be clicked.

  •  Applicants will need to fill all the mandatory fields marked in red colour.

  •  The course type for which a candidate is applying for; MBA / MCA option needs to be selected.

  •  Valid email address and mobile number of candidates are required for further communication. DTE Tamil Nadu will send password details to the email address and mobile number.

  •  Valid TANCET 2018 Number & TANCET 2018 Normalised mark should be provided.

  • After filling up the form, ‘Submit’ tab needs to be clicked to register the application.

  • After successful submission of application candidates will get login details in the email address and mobile number provided. Candidates have to print their application and print address label right after application submission or use login details to login into the system and print it later.

  •  Applicants can use login details that they received in their email or mobile to access their applications for future. It is advised to change the password once they have logged into the system.

  • Candidates have to print both application and address label, affix address label print out on A4 size envelope and send to the officials by enclosing the original Demand Draft and required supporting documents as mentioned in the home page of the website.

    • Candidates should enclose an Original Demand Draft for Rs.300 drawn in favour of "The Secretary, TN MBA / MCA Admissions - 2018, GCT" payable at Coimbatore. Applications received without the Registration fee will be summarily rejected. Rs.150 for SC / SCA / ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu (Self-attested Xerox copy of Community Certificate should be enclosed). Demand Draft can be drawn from any Indian Nationalised bank.

After submitting the online counselling form of TANCET MBA 2018, candidates need to send the printout of the application, along with other relevant enclosures and the original Demand Draft by post or dropped in a box at the office of the "The Secretary, TN MBA / MCA Admissions - 2018, Government College of Technology, Coimbatore 641013" before the last date specified. Only A4 size cover, duly affixed by the printed copy of the address label will be accepted. Before a prospective test taker starts filling the online registration form for the counselling session, ensure to read ‘How to fill Application?’, stated above.

 

After publishing the rank list, aspirants have to print the TANCET MBA counselling call letter after logging in to the official website. Candidates must carry the counselling call letter for appearing in the counselling rounds. Participants of the counselling rounds have to reach venue an hour prior to the schedule to avoid complications.

Selection and Admission Procedure

The selection shall be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the TANCET MBA 2018. If there is a tie (same marks obtained in TANCET 2018 by more than one candidate) while preparing the rank list, the candidates will be ranked as per following inter-se merit rules:

  • The average percentage of marks from first semester/year to N-1 semesters/years in the qualifying Degree examination where N is the total no. of semesters/years in the qualifying examination.

  • Date of Birth (Candidates elder will be given preference)

  • The average percentage of marks from first semester/year to (N-n) semesters/years in the qualifying degree examination and n varies for 2 to N-1 for consecutive levels of tie-breaking (Candidates with higher percentage will be ranked above)

  • Applicants need to produce the graduation or Bachelor’s Degree mark sheet and Pass Certificates during counselling procedure.

  • Candidates are informed that the allotment given in the counselling is only provisional. In accordance with rules prescribed for admission, if they are found ineligible on actual verification of original certificates by the Principal / Directorate of Technical Education, they cannot claim any right for admission or continuation of study at whatever stage of study they may be.

According to the TANCET MBA Exam Pattern 2018, the paper pencil based test is of two hours duration, conducted on May 19, 2018, from 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM. The objective type test will carry 100 questions from five sections, namely Analysis of Business Situation, Reading Comprehension, English Grammar & Usage, Quantitative Ability and Data Sufficiency. Each question will carry one mark and there is 1/3 negative marking for each incorrect answer.
