- The eligibility criteria of MAH CET 2018 states that all graduate students from any discipline from an accredited institute or university are eligible to appear for MAH CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test). Management aspirants endeavouring to pursue MBA from Maharashtra in 2018, should appear for MAH CET 2018. The computer-based MAH CET was held on March 10 and 11, 2018. DTE Maharashtra, the conducting body of MAH CET 2018 had commenced the application process from January 22 and ended it on February 16, 2018. Pointers related to MAH CET Eligibility Criteria 2018


Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra has set the MAH CET 2018 eligibility criteria. The below mentioned are the highlights for MAH CET 2018:-

  • Prospective MBA candidate must be a graduate in any programme or course (of minimum period three years) from any college, institute or university, which is acknowledged by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

  •  General category candidates are eligible to appear for MAH CET 2018 only if they have scored minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate (the grand total of all three or four years of graduation score which decides the class of the candidate).

  •  Final year graduation students (Courses 10+2+3) whose result is scheduled to be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2018-19 are also eligible for applying for MAH CET 2018. However, in order to secure final admission to an institute, they need to qualify the examination and also score as per the requirements of MAH CET eligibility criteria 2018.

  • In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University/institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree. The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to two places after the decimal.

  • Only backward class candidates, differently abled and natives of Maharashtra state, required to secure at least 45 percent marks in aggregate in their graduation.

  • Age Criteria – There is no age limit for MAH CET applicants as per the MAH CET eligibility criteria 2018.

Additional MAH CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • According to the official brochure of MAH CET, MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2018 will reserve 15-30 percent of seats for All India candidates aspiring to appear for MAH-CET 2018. Candidates might also be granted admission on the basis of their scores in All India MBA entrance examinations like CAT (conducted by IIMs)/ XAT (conducted by XLRI)/ CMAT (conducted by AICTE), MAT (conducted by AIMA), ATMA (conducted by AIMS).

  • During the process of filling the MAH CET 2018 application form, students need to mention the category they belong to. They are also required to submit a caste/category certificate, if applicable as a proof.

  • The candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and SBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department and valid Non Creamy Layer certificate except SC, ST candidates during the verification process.

MAH CET 2018 aspirants were required to apply online only. No other mode of application was accepted by the exam authorities. According to the MAH CET 2018 exam pattern, it is a computer-based exam (CBT) of two and half hours duration. The exam consisted of 200 questions in MCQ format and there is no negative marking in MAH CET MBA/MMS entrance exam.

Do preference list of Maharashtra(MH CET) for BA LLB really matters while selecting colleges? What if I want to get into higher ranking clg?
