Factors Determining Cutoff of SNAP 2020

Once the results are out, participating colleges will issue the SNAP 2020 cutoff list. The participating colleges will consider certain general factors before releasing the SNAP cutoff 2020. A detailed explanation of above-mentioned factors is given below-

  1. Reservation Criteria - Candidates belonging to the lower category will have lower SNAP 2020 cutoff. Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the cutoff of SNAP 2020. Whereas candidates with unreserved category i.e general will have a higher cutoff of SNAP 2020 as compared to others.

  2. Candidates appearing for SNAP 2020 - If the number of candidates appearing for SNAP 2020 is more, then the cutoff will be set on a higher level. Thus, we may say that one of the dependent factors is the number of candidates appearing in the exam.

  3. No. of seats available - The cutoff will be on the higher side if the seat to be allotted is less than the number of candidates applying for the exam. But, if the candidates are less, whereas the seats to be filled by participating colleges are many then the cutoff of SNAP 2020 will be on the lower side.

  4. Difficulty criteria - Considering the difficulty range of SNAP 2020, the cutoff will be formed accordingly. If the question paper is easy, the cutoff of SNAP 2020 will be higher and visa-Versa.

Previous Years Cutoff of SNAP 2020

The result of SNAP 2020 will be announced in the second week of January 2021 after which the final cutoff list will be issued by participating institutes. Based on the SNAP cutoff 2020, candidates will have to appear for further rounds. Once the final selection is done on the basis of overall weightage of SNAP 2020, candidates will have to pay the admission fees. On submission of admission fees, candidates will be allotted seats.

Result of SNAP 2020

The scores in the form of SNAP 2020 result published by Symbiosis Test Secretariat will be final and shall not be subject to any revaluation. As per the important dates of SNAP 2020, the result will be declared tentatively in the second week of January, 2021. Candidates are advised to download a soft copy of SNAP result 2020. For further process, SNAP 2020 cutoff will be released by participating colleges. Candidates willing to give SNAP 2020 must keep themselves updated with all the vital information related to the exam.

SNAP Counselling 2020

All participating colleges will release the cutoff of SNAP 2020. Candidates falling in the criteria of the list will have to appear for GE-PI (group exercise and personal interview) and WAT (writing ability test) rounds. These rounds will add weightage to the candidate’s profile and they will be further considered in the SNAP 2020 counselling.

Merit List of SNAP 2020

Once the process of admission is done, candidates will be selected on the basis of SNAP 2020 merit list. The participating institutes will issue the final SNAP merit list tentatively in February, 2021. The SNAP merit list 2020 along with waiting list will be displayed on the official website of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University.

Those who have not qualified in GATE will not receive any GATE score.But to provide your score at the time of document verification you can follow the steps given below

  • Login with your credentials in GATE IIT-D portal (in google chrome)
  • You will be displayed your marks, on top right corner you can see three dots click on it.
  • Click of print. A dialog box will appear.In destination select "save as PDF" option and save the file in a named folder.
  • Take the print out for further reference.

Your marks in CAT and SNAP is poor and according to the marks you have got in these exam you won't be getting any good college, However your NMAT marks is average which can get you some average colleges like IBS, Alliance, UPES Dehradun.

its true that iims and some of other top ranked institute shortlisted candidates as per their academic record and  cat or any other management aptitude  test score. see right now which of institute name you have mentioned is also comes under tier 1 college. now you need to focus on your presentation skills, communication approach  to get shortlisted in final rounds. so keep calm and focus on your goal, I think you will surely crack it.


I got a 99.88 percentile in SNAP 2019 but i believe i can convert IIM A/B/C. Will I have any disadvantage if i give a drop year to prepare for the same? I am a final year student.

Hello Aspirant,

Symbiosis is also a great college for doing PGDM since it it a one of the tier 1 college but if you want to drop a year for converting IIM than you can do it but remember one thing you should also do something in that one year apart from preparing like any certificate course (Digital Marketing, Advance excel) or work in any social organisation like NGO which not only makes your profile stronger but also gives you an upper hand during the interviews when interviewer ask you about your year gap, So try to do any of these thing apart from preparing.
