MAT Eligibility Criteria 2017MAT Eligibility Criteria 2017: The conducting body AIMA has prescribed eligibility criteria of MAT 2017, which is a national level management entrance test. Only those candidates who are eligible to take the test must apply for MAT 2017. The application process for MAT September 2017 will start from the first week of July and the last date to apply for the test in online mode is August 26, 2017 and that in offline mode is August 23. AIMA will conduct MAT 2017 on September 3 and 9, 2017 in paper pencil based and computer based modes respectively. The application form for MAT 2017 will be available both offline and online. MAT eligibility criteria 2017 will guide you on the details about the eligibility for different category students to be checked before applying for the test.


Highlights of MAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • Final year graduates from any discipline including, science, humanities, commerce or engineering stream from a recognised institute or university are eligible to take up MAT 2017

  • Candidates who have completed their graduation in any of stream from a recognised institute or university are eligible to take up MAT 2017

  • There is no age limit for those taking up MAT 2017

  • There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for taking up the MAT examination

  • Certain number of seats are reserved for Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Other Backward Classes

  • Candidates should have at least 45 per cent percent in English as a major subject and for reserved categories (SC/ST etc) the percent is 40 per cent.

On clearing MAT 2017, final year graduate students need to submit proof of their completion of their graduation. Failure to do will result in annulment of their admission to a respective institute.


All eligible candidates need to fill and submit the MAT Application Form before the deadline. Candidates have to pay Rs 1400 as examination fees for MAT 2017. Candidates can choose the mode of examination i.e they can decide on their own if they can take up the exam in offline mode or online mode.
