Now let us take a look at the expected CAT cutoff of non-IIM CAT participating institutes.

CAT Cutoff for Various Colleges

As the CAT cutoff depends largely on the difficulty level of the exam, it’s important to know that the exam last year was moderately tough on the difficulty scale.

As the CAT 2019 result has been declared on January 4, 2020, the participating institutes will shortlist candidates based on their cutoffs and other CAT eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates will appear for the selection procedure which includes Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. More than 4000 seats are offered by 20 IIMs through CAT exam.

What are the colleges one can look for if he/she scores 50 percentile in CAT

Sampriti Student Expert 27th Jan, 2020
With your percentile you can still check out some decent colleges like NDIM New Delhi and JIMS Rohini. They mostly select students on the basis of their performance in GD/PI rounds only. You'll just have to apply for them and appear for the process that take place in various cities throughout the country. These two would be the best options you can have. You can also check out colleges like
  • Krupanidhi School of Management
  • MS Ramaiah Bangalore
  • Bengal college of engineering and Technology
  • ASM's group of institutions
  • Shanti Business School and others

You can also wait for other exams like CMAT if you've applied for it. You can have good number of colleges there also.

Apart from that you can also apply for the written test of IBSAT and your final selection will be based on your performance in GD/PI rounds held in Hyderabad.

how can i apply pcb student in cat?

ayush mishra 27th Jan, 2020

Bhavesh, even if you are a PCB student, you can still apply for CAT as the eligibility criteria for the exam requires candidates holding a graduate degree or who are appearing in their final exam of graduation in any discipline from an institution recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. So, it does not matter what discipline you graduate from, either engineering, medical, architecture anything, you can still apply for CAT.
