CAT Admit Card Date:12 Nov' 25 - 30 Nov' 25
The CAT 2025 sectional cutoff marks are the required marks in each section of the CAT question paper specified by the CAT-accepting colleges. Candidates must clear the CAT sectional cutoff marks to become eligible for applying to a particular college, such as an IIM or other management institute. For instance, IIM Ahmedabad requires a CAT 2025 sectional cutoff of 85 percentile in each section for the general candidates, while the expected CAT sectional cutoff for FMS Delhi is around 40 for VARC, 30 for DILR, and QA sections for MBA admission 2026-28. Similar to the CAT cutoff institutes, they release their individual CAT sectional cutoff marks for the admission process. CAT sectional cut-off marks for OBC/SC/ST may differ from the general candidates. Read on to find out the sectional cutoff in CAT 2025 for all the IIMs.

A few of the IIMs have the sectional marks as a component in their overall selection process for the final merit list of candidates. Clearing the required CAT sectional marks is mandatory, but does not guarantee admission.
The CAT sectional cutoff marks vary as per the institute and the category to which a candidate belongs. The expected CAT sectional cutoff marks for individual CAT exam sections for different IIMs are given below.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
CAT sectional cutoff is mandatory to be cleared by every candidate along with the specified overall CAT cutoff for applying to a particular IIM. Candidates failing to meet the sectional cutoff marks criteria for any one of the sections will not be considered for applying.
IIM Rohtak is the IIM with no CAT sectional cutoff marks criteria for any of the CAT exam sections. The candidate only needs to clear the overall CAT cutoff specified by IIM Rohtak to get shortlisted for further WAT and PI rounds.
The IIM Ahmedabad has one of the lowest sectional cutoffs for the CAT exam. The CAT sectional cutoff marks specified by the IIM Ahmedabad are 70 for VARC, 70 for DILR, and 70 for QA.

Hello,
Since the CAT application form correction window is closed, you must contact the CAT help desk immediately to explain the situation, as you can't edit a wrong date of birth after submission. If it's a major error like date of birth, you may need to go to the exam center with proof and the correct admit card, although getting it corrected before the exam date is the most important first step.
I hope it will clear your query!!
Hi there,
You have to apply separately for each symbiosis college, like SIBM Pune, as they as not automatically included. The CAT form automatically includes many IIMs, but the SNAP exam is a separate test that is given for admission to Symbiosis Institute, which requires its own separate application and fee.
Hope it helps!!!
