NMAT Syllabus 2018 - The syllabus of NMAT 2018 is regulated by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). NMAT syllabus 2018 contain three sections - Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning Skills. The QA section will evaluate the candidates’ mathematical, logical reasoning and data interpretation skills, while the Language Skills section will test the candidates’ language comprehension skills. The section on Logical Reasoning Skills will evaluate analytical and data interpretation skills of the test taker. NMAT by GMAC will be conducted in online mode and will have a total of 120 MCQ questions. Each correct answer will fetch one mark. No marks shall be deducted for any negative answer marked. After getting an overview of the sections, let us look at the important topics from each section which aspirants must prepare for NMAT by GMAC 2018. 

NMAT Syllabus 2018

Below mentioned is the detailed syllabus for NMAT by GMAC 2018:

NMAT Syllabus for Language Skills: 

This section tests the verbal ability, language structure skills and reading comprehension of a candidate. Time allotted is 22 minutes with 32 questions to answer. Below are the important topics to be covered under this section:

  • Language usage & their rules.

  • Para Jumble and Syntax

  • Antonyms and Synonyms

  • Grammar

  • Vocabulary and Idioms

  • Fill in the blanks

  • Reading comprehension

NMAT Syllabus for Quantitative Skills:

This section checks the quantitative ability of a candidate. Candidates will get 60 minutes to answer 48 questions. It will focus on topics like:

  • Arithmetic

  • Geometry and Algebra

  • Modern Mathematics

  • Number Systems

  • Data interpretation

  • Problem-solving

  • Data sufficiency

NMAT Syllabus for Logical Reasoning: 

This section evaluates reasoning and analytical abilities of candidates in 38 minutes. This section will include 40 questions based on:

  • Family tree

  • Arrangement

  • Numeric grid

  • Coding and Decoding

  • Series

  • Decision-making & verbal skills

NMAT 2018 is being conducted in a 75-days window starting from October 4, 2018, till December 17, 2018. The list of NMAT by GMAC 2018 exam centres has been provided by the officials for the candidates to check them before selecting and finalising their test city. Among the test centres of NMAT by GMAC are 44 Indian cities and four international centres.

The registration process for NMAT 2018 has concluded on October 14, 2018. Candidates could download the NMAT admit card after completing the registration and will have to carry it along with ID proofs to the exam centre of NMAT.

Candidates are advised to contact the NMAT by GMAC help desk in case they face any issues while downloading the hall ticket or if there is any discrepancy in the information published on the NMAT hall ticket. The final result of NMAT by GMAC 2018 is expected to be announced in the third week of January 2019.
