XAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 - As per the eligibility criteria of XAT 2019, as prescribed by XLRI Jamshedpur, candidates should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised institute or university. The minimum duration of the graduation has to be three years. Also, there is no specific cutoff for percentage or CGPA to be obtained in graduation. Candidates in the final year of their graduation degree are also eligible for XAT exam provided they receive their Bachelor’s Degree before the admission process of XAT is completed. Candidates planning to appear for the exam must check the eligibility criteria of XAT 2019 as only the eligible candidates would be able to fill the application form. The exam is expected to be held in the first week of January 2019 and the application process is likely to begin from the second week of August 2018. Age Limit – There is no age limit to appear for XAT 2019.
XAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 - XLRI Programmes
The XAT 2019 eligibility criteria are different for different programmes. Also, there are 11 XLRI member institutes and more than 150 B-schools across India which accept the XAT score for their admission process. Human Resource Management (HRM)
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree of at least three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from any recognised university/institute. Candidates who are appearing for their graduation final exam by June 10, 2019, are also eligible to apply.
Business Management (BM)
Eligibility criteria are same as of HRM programme.
General Management Programme
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in India or abroad with a minimum of five years managerial/supervisory experience by March 31, 2019. Candidates can also apply through either XAT 2019 or GMAT score (given the exam between December 1, 2016, and December 20, 2018).
Why is it important to check XAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 before applying?
Aspiring management candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of XAT 2019 before applying as only the eligible candidates are allowed to fill the application form of the test. If any candidate fills the wrong information or found ineligible, his/her application is very much likely to get rejected at any stage of the application or admission process.
XAT 2019 Registration – Candidates are required to register for XAT 2019 first in order to fill the application form. After successful registration, they will receive the login credentials. Post that, they need to log in again and complete the application process.
The XAT 2019 application process is expected to start from the second week of August 2018. It’ll be a completely online process. XLRI provides the application deadlines in two phases. The first phase goes on until the last week of November, and the late application window which is the second phase goes on until the second week of December.
XAT 2019 application fee - The initial application fee for XAT 2019 would be Rs. 1650 in the first phase. Candidates who submit the application form in the late application window would be paying Rs. 2000.
XAT 2019 Exam Pattern - It will be a 3.5 hour test divided into two parts. The exam will have a mix of subjective and objective type questions from GK, Essay Writing, Decision Making, QA, DI, and Verbal & Logical Ability. XAT 2019 is expected to be conducted in the first week of January 2019 in online mode. Around 90,000 students appear for the exam every year.
