The covid-19 pandemic and the current situation has prompted AIMA to conduct MAT (Management Aptitude Test) as an internet based online MAT test via remote proctoring. There are over 1000+ AICTE recognized MBA colleges in India that accept MAT percentile. Most of the MBA colleges that accept MAT scores are private, only approximate 8% of the institutes are public/ government. After the MAT results are announced, MAT participating institutes will also release their cutoff for intake. Candidates are then required to check for MBA admission and apply for the same in the institute of their choice.

Management Aptitude Test or MAT conducted by AIMA, is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in our country. MAT is conducted four times in a year – February, May, September and December. The candidate must have graduated from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate percentage of 50% or equivalent CGPA for general in any discipline. The minimum aggregate percentage for other category students is 45 percent.
Candidates with a professional degree such as CA, CS, or ICWA are also eligible to appear for the MAT exam.
Candidates who are taking their final year exams or waiting for their bachelor's degree results can also apply for the MAT exam.
There is no maximum age limit for taking the MAT exam.
