About IBSAT 2018
The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) will conduct the annual ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT) 2018 for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. IBSAT 2018 will be held on December 22 and 23, 2018 across 94 cities in India. As per eligibility criteria of IBSAT, candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognised institute/university with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks. The computer-based test of two hours duration will have objective-type questions from areas like Verbal Ability, Quantitative Techniques and Reasoning Ability. After the declaration of IBSAT 2018 results, selected candidates shall be invited for the selection procedure, followed by the release of a list of students qualifying for admission in the nine IBS campuses across India.

The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education specifies the IBSAT eligibility criteria for aspirants who wish to appear for IBS Aptitude Test 2018. Before filling in the application form, it is crucial that applicants check the eligibility criteria of IBSAT 2018.
Highlights of IBSAT 2018 eligibility criteria
- Applicants must be graduates in any discipline from a recognised institute/university, where the medium of instruction is English.
- They must have secured at least 50 per cent aggregate marks at their Bachelor’s level.
- It is compulsory to have a minimum of 15 years of overall education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis) to appear for IBSAT 2018.
- If the medium of instruction is any other language than english, then candidates can submit TOEFL, NELT or IELTS score by May 31, 2019.
- Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements before May 31, 2019, and submit the proof of graduation by November 1, 2019.
- Age limit – No age bar to apply for IBSAT 2018 as per the eligibility criteria.

The IBSAT 2018 registration commenced on July 1. The deadline to fill the IBSAT 2018 application form, as specified by ICFAI Foundation, the conducting body, is December 17, 2018. Candidates can register themselves on the official website of IBS and complete the application in online mode. An application fee of Rs. 1800 had to be paid using any of the various payment modes available at the time of filling the form. Additionally, the IBSAT application form 2018 can also be completed in offline mode by purchasing it from IBS centres.
Guidelines to fill IBSAT 2018 Application Form
- Candidates will have to enter their personal details (like name, DOB, contact information like mobile number, email address, residential address, etc.) and academic details like educational qualifications while filling the IBSAT application form.
- A recent passport size coloured photograph in the prescribed format must be uploaded.
- Specify the exam whose score will be used to apply for the programme (either through IBSAT or GMAT, CAT or NMAT by GMAC).
- Check if all the information entered is accurate and click on ‘I Agree.’
- View all the information entered and schedule the IBSAT 2018 exam.
IBSAT E-books and Sample Papers
IBSAT 2018 exam pattern states that it is a computer-based test of two hours. As per the exam pattern prescribed by ICFAI Foundation, the management aptitude test will carry 140 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into four sections.

Marking scheme: Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There is no negative marking for an incorrect response. Thus, the IBSAT 2018 exam will be marked out of a total of 140 marks.
ICFAI does not release an official syllabus for IBSAT 2018. However, based on previous years’ question papers, here are the most common topics from which questions will be raised in the exam:

Bar graphs, Column graphs, Data Interpretation, Critical Reasoning, Logical reasoning, Data sufficiency etc.
Three reading comprehension passages with 25 direct questions seeking factual answers.
Algebra, Arithmetic progression, Co-ordinate geometry, Geometry, Percentage, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Profit & Loss, etc.
Vocabulary, Analogies, Comprehension of passage, Contextual usage, English usage, Incorrect words, Para jumble, Punctuation, etc.
ICFAI will also offer a mock test for candidates appearing in the exam to help them get accustomed to the exam pattern of IBSAT 2018.
IBSAT 2018 Mock Test
ICFAI Business School will offer IBSAT 2018 mock tests for candidates appearing in the test to help them get accustomed to each section of the online exam. The IBSAT mock tests will be available for free on the official website of IBS. Taking the mock tests will prove to be highly helpful for aspirants as they can familiarise themselves with the actual exam pattern of IBSAT. The mock tests will be available from September 2018 onwards for all registered candidates of IBSAT 2018 exam.
The admit card of IBSAT 2018 will be made available in online mode in the third week of December. Only registered candidates would be able to download the IBSAT 2018 admit card or hall ticket from the official website of IBS. To download the admit card of IBSAT 2018, candidates have to enter the login ID and Date of Birth sent to the registered email address. It is important to carry the printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre on test day, failing which candidates will be barred from appearing in the exam.

19 Colleges Accepting Admission
The result of IBSAT 2018 can be checked on the official website of IBS in the first week of January 2019. To check the result, which will be announced in online mode only, candidates must login with their user ID and date of birth of the IBSAT account. Post the IBSAT 2018 result, all the IBS institutes will announce their cutoffs and prepare a list of shortlisted candidates for selection rounds. The selection briefings will take place between January 13-20, 2019. This will be followed by the selection process (GD/PI) from February 20-26, 2019.
Post the announcement of result, the nine IBS institutes will declare the IBSAT 2018 cutoff lists. This list will have the names of qualifying candidates who have secured the minimum marks or percentile required to get shortlisted for the selection process. The cutoff of IBSAT 2018 will vary from institute to institute. Candidates can check the expected cutoffs below:

This will be followed by the selection procedure of IBSAT 2018 which will be held at IBS Hyderabad.
The selection procedure of IBSAT 2018 is a two-step process. In the first step, candidates have to appear for the IBS Aptitude Test. After the declaration of IBSAT result, the nine IBS institutes will shortlist candidates based on their own cut-offs. Between January 13 to 20, 2019, shortlisted candidates will also be called for IBS selection briefings or a series of focused seminars which will offer an insight into the programmes at IBS.
As part of the second step of IBSAT 2018 selection procedure, IBS Hyderabad will conduct Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) at its campus from February 20-26, 2019. Factors such as candidates’ academic performance and work experience will also be taken into consideration, besides the IBSAT score, while preparing the final merit list.
