According to the CMAT 2018 exam pattern, the test will be conducted in online mode and in one session only. CMAT is conducted for admissions into programmes like MBA, PGDM and PGCM offered by the B-schools in India. CMAT 2018 will be held on January 21, 2018. Compared to last year, there has not been any change in the CMAT exam pattern 2018. Only those candidates who successfully register for the national level exam between October 18 and December 18, 2017, will be allowed to take the test. According to the exam pattern of CMAT 2018, the exam comprises four sections: Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation and General Awareness. Each section of CMAT 2018 has 25 questions, meaning a total of 100 questions are there, each carrying four marks. Highlights of CMAT 2018 Exam Pattern

  • CMAT is a computer-based online entrance exam for admission into AICTE approved B-schools.

  • CMAT 2018 will be held in a single session and will comprise four sections.

  • The total number of questions will be 100, with each section having 25 questions.

  • There will be four options for each question from which the candidate will have to pick 1 option.

  • The time duration for the entrance exam will be 180 minutes.

  • While there is no time limit for any section, it will be a safe bet to spend around an hour on each section.

Marking Scheme: The marking scheme of CMAT 2018 is convenient as each correct answer will be awarded +4 marks. Also, there will be a negative marking of -1 for each incorrect answer.

During CMAT 2018, each candidate will be assigned a desktop/computer system apart from which s/he may also be handed a plain sheet and pen to do any rough work. Once the entrance test is over, candidates should leave the rough sheet and pen at the desk, as candidates will not be allowed to carry them out. It is to be noted that candidates cannot carry their own plain sheet for doing rough work, nor will any other item will be allowed in the exam hall.

 

A Trial Test is made available for candidates to understand the computer-based test from October 25, 2017 till the test day.
