Given below are a few tips that candidates can follow to maximise their CMAT 2027 preparation within the limited time available.
For the remaining one month, you need to make a study plan and follow it strictly, but at the same time, not so strictly that it starts hurting your preparation itself. Be open to some flexibility as the need arises.
Begin by organizing the material based on priority and difficulty. List your strengths and limitations, estimate the time needed for each subject, and maintain a balanced approach to time allocation. Begin with the easy subjects to gain momentum and finish one subject before moving on to the next.
One effective technique is summarizing. If you study a topic, the best way to memorize the key points is to write a summary of that topic. If time is limited, write only the key points instead of complete sentences. The key is to change the entire comprehensive topic into one-liners, which will also be helpful just before the exam.
The summarizing technique also works well for the General Knowledge section, including Static GK and Current Affairs. It is advisable to note down important points and create quizzes for yourself to help in learning and revision.
Considering the limited amount of time left, the importance of effective time management increases even more. If you have a clear study plan and are able to follow it, it will reduce your anxiety and stress. It is essential to set realistic goals and deadlines to stay motivated.
You need to make the most of the remaining time by prioritizing high-scoring topics while allocating study time. Know which topics carry more weightage and plan accordingly. For example, Economics is considered slightly more important than the other GK subjects for CMAT, while in Quant, high-weightage topics should receive more time in your study schedule.
3. Number System, Basic Arithmetic
4. Percentage
5. Linear Equations in Two Variables
7. Bar graph
8. Line graph
Studying and only studying does help, however, even if you do not have much time, but are able to maintain your concentration throughout, it will bring the same benefits. It is not advisable to study for long hours at a stretch. Break down your study sessions into shorter, focused intervals. Study in short time blocks like 1–2 hours while taking 5-minute breaks every hour.
Mock tests and PYQs are essential to your preparation because they give you a reality check and a feel of the actual exam. Practice the previous years' questions of CMAT. These papers and full-length mock tests will help you identify the sections where you need to improve.
While solving a mock test, make a note of the questions in which you are taking too long or getting wrong. Restudy those topics and keep track of your progress by doing a thorough analysis of the mock test results.
The last step before the exam would be to revise, for which you have to plan ahead. Do not study any new topic at the end as it can lead to panic. Go through the important topics again and revise all the concepts, theorems, formulae, shortcuts, and one-liners that you made notes of. The important thing is to go to the examination center with a relaxed mind.
Preparing for the CMAT examination in one month can be challenging but it is not impossible. This time table can be followed by candidates who are extremely new to the examination and the candidates who have completed the CMAT syllabus and are currently undergoing their last round of preparation.
