CAT Registration 2019 - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozikhode closed registration for CAT 2019 on September 25, 2019. Previously, the last date for registration for CAT 2019 was September 18 (5:00 pm). CAT registration 2019 started on August 7 at 10 am in online mode at iimcat.ac.in. This year it is found that 244169 candidates have registered for CAT which is 3831 more if compared to it's previous year 2018 (in which 240338 candidates have applied). CAT registration was the first step in the application process where candidates must enter their name, mobile number, and a valid email address, etc. After successful CAT 2019 registration, candidates received the CAT User Id and password at their registered email and mobile number. They must use these credentials to login and fill the CAT 2019 application form, upload documents as specified and pay the CAT registration fee of Rs.1900 (Rs.950 for SC/ST category applicants). Four exam cities must be entered during registration of CAT 2019 from the list of 156 cities given. Common Admission Test scores will be used for admissions to 20 IIMs and over 1000 BSchools all over India. As registered candidates in 2018 were allowed to re-upload their photographs if they had uploaded improper or blurred photographs, in 2019 also the authorities have allowed the same. The authorities have now closed the correction window for images on September 30, 2019 at 5:00 PM. The edit option was only available for your photograph and signature. For the rest of the fields, candidates needed to contact the CAT help desk in email@example.com and Toll-free: 18002090830 do appropriately depending on your call. With the help of the CAT 2019 Application Form Correction window, candidates can correct their errors in CAT 2019 Application Form. CAT 2019 application was considered for the latest registration and the Admit Card was issued for the same. Please note that candidates did not receive a refund or Admit Card for your earlier registration.

The step by step procedure to apply for CAT 2019 is depicted below in a pictorial representation. The following steps comprise the CAT 2019 registration and application process.
Step 1 – CAT Registration (Generate User ID and Password)

Step 3 – Fill up CAT application form 2019 and pay the application fee
To successfully complete CAT 2019 registration, candidates must mind the following guidelines:

The application process can be completed in multiple sessions. However, each time, the application must be saved before logging out.
It is to be noted that editing of details in application form of CAT will be possible only till the payment of the application fee. After the payment is done, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes.
Step 1 - CAT 2019 Registration
The steps for CAT registration 2019 are
Go to the official website of CAT 2019 - iimcat.ac.in.
Click on ‘New Candidate Registration".
Enter the following information
Enter the following information
Name - Should be same as in Class X or SSC Certificate. If the name has been changed due to marriage or any other reason, candidates need to submit a valid document like court affidavit or marriage certificate to support the same.
Date of birth – Use the virtual calendar to enter date of birth to ensure that it is correctly entered.
Email address – Enter a valid email id during registration. CAT User ID will be sent to this email address. For overseas candidates, both User ID and Password will be sent through email. Hence, candidates must make sure that the information provided is correct.
Mobile number – Enter a valid mobile number since the password will be sent through SMS at this number itself. The number should be Indian and must contain 10 digits. Mobile numbers which are not Indian should be prefixed with area code.
After filling these details, click on "Generate OTP button", enter the captcha or retype the special characters displayed on the screen. Check the box which says 'I Agree' and click 'Submit' button. This will verify and authenticate CAT registration form. Details entered cannot be altered once submitted.
After successful CAT 2019 registration, candidates will receive the login credentials through Email and SMS. The USER ID will be sent to the registered email address of the candidates. The password will be sent via SMS to the registered mobile number.
Step 2 - Login to fill application form of CAT
The next step after CAT 2019 registration is to login in using the "Registered Candidate Login" button given.They have to enter the User ID & Password to continue filling the CAT application form. Only candidates who have completed their CAT registration 2019 can log in to fill the application form.
Step 3 - Fill and submit CAT Application Form 2019
After logging in, the personal details of the candidate will be displayed on the screen/dashboard. Candidates can click on 'Go to Application Form' button on top right to continue filling CAT 2019 online application form. The application form will be divided into six sections, as given below:
Section 1 - Personal Details
Father’s/Husband’s/Guardian’s Name and Mother’s Name
Select Category – Candidates who do not belong to the General category have to select the applicable category among Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Serial Number, State or Union Territory and Name of Caste and Tribe.
Aadhaar Card Number is asked for; however, it is not mandatory to mention the Aadhaar card number
Select Gender- Male/Female/Transgender
Click on Yes or No for Person With Disability (PWD) field. In order to apply under the PWD category, the Disability Percentage should be equal to or more than 40 per cent.
Communication address - Enter full postal address along with alternate email and mobile number which will be used for further communication by IIMs.
Documents to be Uploaded
Candidates must upload a certain set of documents as specified in support of the information provided by them. The documents are-
Passport size photograph and signature: Applicants have to upload a scanned image of their passport size photograph. The dimension of this image file should not be more than what is prescribed by exam authorities. Refer to the below table for photograph and signature dimensions. The photograph and signature should be clearly visible and legible.

Under each section, candidates have to enter the Board, Subjects, Aggregate marks or CGPA. Once all the academic details are filled, click on 'Save & Continue'.
Section 3 - Work Experience
Now, candidates need to fill the work experience. If the applicants have prior work experience or are working professionals, they have to enter the work experience in the number of months completed as on July 31, 2019. Candidates have to also enter the industry type. Only full-time work experience pursued after the completion of Graduation will be applicable. Internship, part-time job, articles, pre-graduation experience should not be entered.
Section 4 - Choose Programmes
Candidates have to select the IIMs and the full-time management programmes where they wish to seek admission into a postgraduate management programme. They also need to select the interview city from the drop-down menu provided under this section.
Note that candidates applying to IIM Indore will also be considered for the Mumbai campus of IIM. The final selection will depend on the respective admission criteria of the institute.
Candidates applying for PGP or PGDM programmes at the below given IIMs are requested to choose the same interview city for all the selections:
Section 5 - Exam Centre City
Candidates can select any four cities from the given list of CAT exam centres 2019. A total of 156 exam cities have been announced by IIM Kozhikode in which the test will be conducted in 376 cities. After the completion of the CAT 2019 online application process, candidates will be allotted test centre in one of the four preferred cities.
Section 6 - Pay the CAT 2019 Registration fees
After completing the CAT application form 2019, submit it along with the application fee. First, choose one of the payments mode given below and then the respective payment gateway will be enabled. After selecting the payment gateway, candidates need to enter the CAPTCHA given in the box provided and check the declaration box given. Candidates must choose the preferred payment mode for paying the application fees.

The CAT exam will be held on November 24, 2019, in two slots (forenoon and afternoon). Candidates will not be given the option to select their slots. They would be allotted a slot at the CAT exam centre in one of the four preferred cities entered by them during the CAT registration 2019 process. Talking about IIMs, as you might have researched about the last few years' cutoff, the cutoff for OBC of all IIMs range from 80 Percentile and above.
As per the rankings of IIMs, the top five IIMs are-

5. IIM Tiruchirappalli
You should definitely give priority for the above five IIMs and try to get admission there. Considering last few years' cutoff, you should definitely get admission in any of the IIMs.

Hello there. Hope you are doing good. The cutoff for XIMB goes around 90 percentile every year. It could be high or low depending on the cutoff scores that varies every year. Since your score is near to 90 percentile and if you have a work experience that is worth considering for admission into MBA program. Then you can at least give it a try. You never know what will be the exact situation in the upcoming admission processes.
