CAT Registration 2020 - Indian Institute of Management which will conduct the Common Admission Test, will begin CAT 2020 registration in online mode tentatively from the first week of August. CAT 2020 registration form has to be filled in online mode. The steps that are listed below need to be followed while filling the application form of CAT 2020.
Step 1 - Click on the official website of CAT 2020 and generate user id and password
Step 2 - Login to the CAT 2020 website
Step 3 - Fill CAT 2020 application form which will include the following information

It is important for the candidates to remember the following points as they register for CAT 2020.

For CAT registration 2020, candidates will have to use the mouse instead of “tab”

For CAT registration 2020, candidates will have to click on the official website link which is www.iimcat.ac.in and then click on the tab which states, “ New Candidate Registration” Now candidates will have to provide the following information for CAT 2020 regsitration.
Name of the candidate - Candidate will have to put their name as has been mentioned in their Class X or SSC certificate. If there has been a change in the name of the candidate due to marriage or any other reason, then candidates will have to provide a valid document or court affidavit in support of it.
Date of Birth - In CAT 2020 registration form, candidates will have to use the virtual calendar wherein they will have to first mention the day followed by month and year.
Email Address - At the time of CAT registration 2020 candidates will have to provide a valid email address as the authorities will send all the information on this address. It is pertinent for the candidates to ensure that the email address given by them is correct.
Mobile Number - Provide a mobile number that is in use as the conducting body of CAT will send the SMS on this number. The mobile number should be of India and must have at least 10 digits. If the mobile number does not belong to India then in such a case candidates must provide the area prefix
Generation of One Time Password (OTP) - After filling in all the details that have been mentioned for CAT registration 2020, candidates will have to click on “Generate OTP” tab. A new page will open and candidates will have to enter the security code that is displayed on the screen after which they will have to check the box outside of which is written 'I Agree.' After this candidates will have to click on the submit tab. CAT 2020 registration form will be authenticated
Login Details - Once the candidates have successfully completed CAT 2020 registration, they will receive the login credentials via email as well as through SMS.
Step 2 - Login to fill CAT Application Form 2020
On completion of CAT registration 2020, candidates will have to re-login by clicking on "Registered Candidate Login" button. Now enter the user id and password that was generated at the time of registration of CAT 2020. Candidates who have completed CAT 2020 registration, only they will be able to fill application form.
Step 3 - Fill CAT Registration 2020 Form
Candidates who will appear for the Common Admission Test, they will have to fill the following sections in the application form of CAT 2020. There are six sections which the candidates will have to fill.
Section 1 - Personal Details
In this part of CAT registration 2020 form, the date of birth of the candidate will automatically be automated based on the information that was furnished at the time of the registration.
Father’s, husband’s guardian’s and mother’s name as applicable
Choose the category under which the candidate is applying. If the candidate belongs to reserved category then they will have to provide additional details such as Serial/Entry Number of Caste/Tribe, State/Union Territory of Caste/Tribe, and Caste/Tribe Name
Choose the nationality from the dropdown
In order to know the details related to Caste/Tribe name that is applicable, candidates must check National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) website: http://www.ncbc.nic.in/Home.aspx
Candidates can also download the EWS, NC-OBC, SC/ST Certificates from the CAT website and provide the necessary information and self-attest and scan as PDF documents and upload the certificates on the official website of CAT
Choose “yes” if one is person with disability. Also candidates will have to select details under PwD Category - Wheelchair Support and Scribe Requirement.
In this part of CAT registration 2020, candidates will have to mention the postal address correctly as all the communication by CAT authorities will be done at the given address. Also, candidates will have to provide an alternate email address and emergency mobile number while filling CAT registration 2020.
Documents to be uploaded in CAT 2020 Application Form
Candidates will be required to upload the scanned copy of their image as well as the signature while filling CAT registration form 2020. The documents that have to be uploaded should be in accordance with the specifications and dimensions that are mentioned in the table given above. While registering for CAT 2020, candidates must also ensure that the signature and the photograph is clearly eligible.
If required candidates will have to upload PwD certificates.
Section 2 - Academic Details
In the CAT registration form 2020, candidates will have to provide the academic details such as:
Class X/SSC/Equivalent Exam Scores
HSC/12th/Equivalent/Diploma Course Details
Graduation degree details
Post Graduation degree details
Other professional course details
With regard to each degree, candidates will have to mention the following information:
Name of the board
Aggregate marks or CGPA
After filling the details, candidates will have to click 'Save & Continue'.
Section 3 - Work Experience
In this part of CAT 2020 registration form if the candidate has work experience then they will have to provide details for the same in completed months as on January 31, 2020. Only the full time work experience on completion of graduation should be considered.
Note: Candidates must remember that Internship, Articleship, Pre-graduation, project, part-time work experience will not be counted as work experience. Enter ‘save and continue’
Section 4 - Programmes
Candidates will have to choose the IIMs from where they want to pursue the programmes. From the dropdown, they will have to choose the city where they want to appear for the interview.
Candidates who are applying for the PGP courses at the IIMs which are listed below they will have to choose the same interview city for all selections owing to the Common Admission Process
If the candidate has selected PGP courses at IIM Kashipur, and at IIM Ranchi, then the interview city should be same for example, it is Chennai. The other choices of cities are:
Section 5 - Selection of CAT Test Centre
While filling the registration form, candidates will have to choose at least four cities from the given list of CAT 2020 exam centres. In 2019, CAT was conducted in 156 cities and the test was conducted at 376 exam centres. On completion of the application form of CAT 2020, candidates will be allotted a test centre in one of the four preferred cities.
Section 6 - Pay the application fee for CAT Registration 2020
Once the candidate has filled the CAT 2020 registration form, they will have to pay the fee depending on the category to which they belong. Candidates will have to choose the payment gateway. After the candidates have chosen the payment gateway, they will have to select the respective payment gateway and enter the CAPTCHA that is given in the box after which they will have to check the declaration box. While registering for CAT 2020, candidates will have to choose the preferred mode of payment.

Candidates can preview the registration of CAT 2020 before paying the fee for the application form. Once the payment has been made no change will be allowed to be made.
Once the fee for the registration form of CAT 2020 has been paid, candidates will receive a confirmation mail in this regard. Candidates will have the option to check the details about the CAT application form by logging in to it.

The CAT exam will be held tentatively in the last week of November 2020, in two slots (forenoon and afternoon). Candidates will not be given the option to select their slots. They would be allotted a slot at the CAT exam centre in one of the four preferred cities entered by them during the CAT registration 2020 process. CAT is commencing on 25th November in 2020. So it does not need to get postponed/cancel due to corona virus. The situation should get better till November. So, we can't argue why CAT is conducting.

Yes ,you can apply at JK Lakhmipat University if you have not given CAT , because as per their eligibility criteria for getting admission their the candidates must have appeared in
or any other national level entrance test.
In case the candidate has not appeared for any of the mentioned tests, they will have to appear in the JKLU Management Entrance Test (MET) to qualify for the programme.
So, you can apply there by appearing in their Entrance test.

CAT ( Common admission test) is a very reputed entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for admissions into various colleges for MBA. The duration of the exam is 3 hours for all the categories and 4 hours for the PwD category. The sectional duration for each section is 60 minutes each whereas it is 80 minutes for the candidates of the PwD category.
The total number of questions asked in the entrance exam are 100. It is a computer based examination.
Candidates lose 1 mark for each incorrect answer and gain 3 marks for every correct answer. No marks are deducted for the questions which the candidate didn't attempt.
The examination consists of 3 sections namely - Quantitative ability , Data interpretation & logical reasoning and Verbal ability and reading comprehension. These sections consists of 34,32 and 34 questions each respectively.
The candidates are not allowed to switch between the sections. He/she can move to the next section only after attempting the previous section which he/she was completing. Though, the candidates are allowed to switch between questions within the same section.
