NMAT Selection Procedure 2019 - Graduate Management Admission Council prescribes the selection procedure for NMIMS Management Aptitude Test 2019 (NMAT). NMAT 2019 selection procedure will begin soon after the declaration of NMAT 2019 result. Selection procedure for NMAT 2019 will begin from February 2020. NMAT selection procedure 2019 is a two step process. The first and foremost step for NMAT 2019 selection procedure includes is to appear for NMAT and the second step involves Group Discussion (GD)/Writing Ability Test (WAT)/ Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. NMAT 2019 selection procedure involves two steps. The steps for selection procedure are mentioned below:
Know your Admission Chances for Colleges Accepting NMAT score
Step 1: Students will have to appear for NMAT by GMAC 2019
Step 2: Students will be shortlisted on the basis of score obtained by them.
Step 3: Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion/ Writing Ability Test/ Case Discussion and Personal Interview round.
Step 4: Final merit list will be prepared based on the following
Marks obtained in NMAT 2019
Case discussion-personal interview
Note - Some of the participating institutes may shortlist candidates on the basis of their profile which includes aspects like past academic record and work experience.

Authorities released the result for NMAT 2019 on January 16, 2020 in the form of scorecard. NMAT 2019 result comprises of scaled score from each section. Candidates can download the scorecard by entering the login credentials. The scorecard will consist of following possible range for different sections:
Logical reasoning skills
Students were intimated about the declaration of NMAT 2019 result through email. The final percentile is announced after all the aspirants had taken their exam and the total percentile is updated in the scorecard of the candidate.
NMAT 2019 cutoff will be released soon after the declaration of result. To get an idea about section wise cutoff, candidates can refer to the previous year cutoff:
Shortlisted candidates will have to carry the following documents for admission into participating institutes of NMAT 2019:
Class 10th passing certificate and marksheet
Class 12th passing certificate and marksheet
Semester wise degree marksheet
Qualifying examination certificate
Passing certificate/provisional certificate
Post graduate marksheet (if applicable)
Work experience certificate
Eligibility certificate (if applicable)
Medical fitness certificate
No, it is not necessary for candidates to re-appear for NMAT 2019. Retaking NMAT 2019 doesn’t guarantee the improvement of scores.
NMAT 2019 will be of total 120 minutes to answer questions from three sections. However, each section is allotted specific time under which students have to solve and review each section:
Language skills- 22 minutes
Quantitative skills- 60 minutes
Logical reasoning- 38 minutes
Result for NMAT 2019 will be announced within four to five weeks of the exam.

Universities like NMIMS and Xavier's enrol students with NMAT percentiles of atleast 90. This however requires a score of more than 200 in NMAT.

In almost all colleges the required criteria is NMAT score. So need to worry more just apply to that particular colleges on the basis o your NMAT score(marks).
BTW 159 is very less marks, it can't fetch you the main campus like NMIS, Mumbai or Hyderabad. It will only lead you to tier 2 or 3 colleges.
The cutoff score changes every year. However, you may get selected for the admission procedure, if you have more than 160-165 marks.
