NMAT Selection Procedure 2018 – According to the selection procedure of NMAT 2018, candidates shall be shortlisted on the basis of NMAT result. Once the final result and score card has been released in the third week of January, the NMAT 2018 selection procedure will begin starting from February to June 2018. The NMAT selection process 2018 states that the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the selection rounds at those institutes. NMAT 2018 selection procedure includes two steps. The first is to appear for NMAT by GMAC which is scheduled to be held from October 4 to December 17, 2018. Second step of the NMAT selection process involves appearing for Group Discussion (GD) or Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview rounds. The final scores will be sent to the institutes shortlisted by the candidates at the time of filling the NMAT application form. If a candidate is able to clear the cutoff of a particular NMAT by GMAC participating institute, then he/she will be shortlisted to appear for further rounds of selection.

The next step is to appear for Group Discussion (GD) or Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview rounds. The final merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in NMAT by GMAC, selection rounds and or past academic records and work experience. The admission criteria will vary from institute to institute. Candidates scoring less than the required cutoff will not be shortlisted for the further rounds of GD PI. Candidates must check it before filling the preferences of institutes in the applciation form.


NMAT 2018 Selection Procedure

NMAT selection procedure 2018 includes two steps. Below mentioned are the steps of NMAT by GMAC selection procedure followed by all 23 participating institutes:

  • Candidates need to appear in NMAT by GMAC 2018

  • Candidates need to appear for Group Discussion (GD) or Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview rounds.

Some institutes may also consider candidates’ profile. Factors like past academic records and work experience might be taken into consideration. The weightage for each factor or the final NMAT selection procedure will vary from institute to institute. The following table brings to you list of top 10 institutes.


NMAT by GMAC Participating Institutes

Candidates may reschedule their NMAT 2018 exam from July 3, 2017 to December 14, 2018 no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled test, to a different date, time and test centre. An additional fee is levied for this which can be paid through Credit Card.

Candidates can also retake the exam. To do so, login to the registered NMAT account and pay for the retake test through the available payment modes. Retake of NMAT exam is allowed after 15 days of the original attempt.
