NMAT Participating Institutes 2018 - Graduate Management Admission Council has announced notification for the national-level examination NMAT 2018 for admission to post graduation programmes offered by 28 top B-schools. The scores of NMAT 2018 will be accepted by B-schools like NMIMS Mumbai, ICFAI Hyderabad, VIT University and many others. The exam-conducting body has decided the NMAT participating institutes who will accept NMAT 2018 score. As per the important dates of NMAT by GMAC exam, the exam was held in a 75-day long window from October 4 to December 17, 2018. NMAT result has been announced on the official website in the third week of January. The scores have been sent to the 5 B-schools which candidates had selected during the registration process of NMAT. The selection procedure thereafter will vary from institute to institute. Up to five programmes/ schools under the “School Preference” section can be opted during the time of NMAT registration. In case applicants want to select more than five programmes/schools, they will have to pay Rs.200 + applicable tax for each school/ programme. Before selecting the five institutes, candidates must extensively explore the terms and conditions as well as prerequisites of each management institution in the list of participating colleges of NMAT 2018.
The Registrations for NMAT by GMAC 2018 started from July 3, 2018, and ended on October 3, 2018. However, the late registration window was open until October 14, 2018.
Candidates could reschedule their appointment if they can't appear for the original test appointment. Re-scheduling of appointment up to 72 hours prior to the original appointment is allowed. The fee for re-scheduling is separately charged and can be paid using credit card only.
Candidates could also retake the NMAT 2018 exam upto three times in one academic year. One original attempt followed by two retakes and the best score out of three attempts will be considered for the admission. To register for the retake, login to NMAT by GMAC account and pay for the retake test through the available payment modes. Test takers can retake the exam after 15 days of the original attempt.
After the declaration of final NMAT by GMAC result in the third week of January 2019, selection procedure will commence. For the selection process of NMAT, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the exam scores. The final scores will be sent to the institutes shortlisted by the candidates at the time of filling the form. If a candidate is able to clear the cutoff set by the NMAT participating colleges, then he/she will be shortlisted to appear for the Group Discussion (GD)/ Writing Ability Test (WAT)/ Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview rounds. The final merit list of NMAT 2018 will be generated based on candidates’ performance in NMAT by GMAC, GD/ WAT/ CD-PI rounds and or past academic records and work experience.
