With 166 in nmat, should I apply to Xaviers Sustainability Management programme and expect to get a call?

Suryashis Chakraborty 25th Jan, 2020

Hello Kaustav,

Congratulations on your performance!

Universities like NMIMS and Xavier's enrol students with NMAT percentiles of atleast 90. This however requires a score of more than 200 in NMAT.

But, there are many reputed colleges accepting NMAT scores of 80+ percentiles including the Xavier University in Bhubaneswar. You can check out the cut-off scores for some top B-Schools across India via this link:

Hope this helps you. Careers360 wishes you the best for your future endeavours!

I scored 159 marks with 30%ile in NMAT by GMAC. For which i should apply through this score or percentile ?

Aman Raj Student Expert 23rd Jan, 2020

Hello

In almost all colleges the required criteria is NMAT score. So need to worry more just apply to that particular colleges on the basis o your NMAT score(marks).

BTW 159 is very less marks, it can't fetch you the main campus like NMIS, Mumbai or Hyderabad. It will only lead you to tier 2 or 3 colleges.

Can i seek admission if my NMAT (2019) score is 172?

Sampriti Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2020
With your NMAT scores you can still get decent colleges like
  • ICFAI Business School, all the 9 campuses
  • Alliance University Bangalore
  • WOXSEN School of Business Management
  • Bennett University
  • ISBR Business School
  • Universal Business School
  • BML Munjal University
  • ITM Navi Mumbai and others.

These are good colleges in terms of management education and good placements. But out of all the above mentioned colleges ICFAI would be the best option. The college is very good for marketing and finance programs and offers an excellent placement with an average compensation package of 7-8 lakhs. The fees for the entire program is 14.1 lakhs.

Good Luck

Got 163 marks in NMAT. whether i can go for Athena or any other to be preferred?~

Sampriti Student Expert 20th Jan, 2020
You have a decent NMAT scores so you should definitely try for colleges like
  • ICFAI Business School (all 9 campuses)
  • Alliance University Bangalore
  • WOXSEN Hyderabad
  • UPES Dehradun
  • BML Munjal University

These are pretty decent colleges for pursuing management education and among all of them ICFAI Business School will be the best option. These colleges will offer you an average compensation package of 6-8 lakhs.

Athena School of Management is an average institution. Though some placements are there and reputed companies like HDFC,ICICI,Tata group and some startups visit the campus but the placements are not up to the mark. The average compensation package is somewhere near 3-4 lakhs. And since you have a decent score you must try for the above colleges.

Good Luck
