VIT NMAT cutoff will soon be released for the candidates seeking admission to its MBA programs. The VIT NMAT cutoff for 2024 is expected to be around the 75 to 80 percentile range. The final-year students can also apply given that they fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of admission. Other than NMAT VIT also accepts scores of other MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, and ATMA. Selection Criteria after VIT NMAT Cutoff

The selection criteria for the VIT MBA program is a two-step process. The first step involves shortlisting candidates for the Personal Interview round based on the VIT NMAT cutoff. Candidates with scores of different MBA entrance exams will be shortlisted as the best score out of all. The second step is the conduction of the Personal Interview by the panel of experts appointed by the selection committee. Work experience will be an added advantage. Finally, the candidates will be selected based on their performance in the interview round and the entrance score.

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. SP Jain Institute of Management and Research offers two-year, full-time PGDM , PGDM-BM, 18 months PGPM and Global Management programme. Admission to the PGDM, PGDM BM and PGPM programmes is made through the CAT and GMAT scores only. SPJIMR does not accept the NMAT scores for admission to these programmes. However, if you want to apply for the Global Management programme, then you can apply for admission through the NMAT scores along with CAT/ XAT / GRE/ GMAT scores.

When you sit for NMAT, it does take a strict process of identity verification. That can be done as follows:

  • Keep valid ID proof with your signature on it such as your passport or PAN card, etc. ID issued by the government with your photo and signature would be considered acceptable. The same will be cross-checked at the time of reaching the test center.
  • Digital Signature: These days, their digital signature is quite abundantly collected through the check-in process, which is made on a digital pad or on a device.
  • Manual Signature: They may at times ask for your manual signature on an attendance sheet, as proof of your presence during the test.

However, kindly refer to the guidelines by the NMAT exam authorities or the test center for specific information.

MAT and NMAT are both entrance exams conducted for admission into management program in India. While there maybe some overlap in terms of the general aptitude & reasoning sections, it's important to note that they are conducted by different bodies and have different focuses.

MAT covers sections like language comprehension, Mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, and India and Global environment.

NMAT on the other hand, focuses on language skills, Quantitative analysis and logical reasoning.

MAT is conducted in either paper based or computer based but, NMAT is only computer based.

MAT scores are accepted by wide range of management schools across India. While NMAT score are primarily used for admission into NMIMS, and some other institutions.
