The MAT registration window for the August cycle opened on June 25. Candidates can fill out the MAT exam application form for CBT, PBT, and IBT modes online at mat.aima.in. For CBT, the MAT registration process will end on August 11 and for PBT, it will end on August 19, while IBT 1 and IBT 2, the MAT 2024 application form window will close on August 9 and 18 respectively. Before doing the MAT exam registration 2024, applicants can go through the things to be noted regarding the MAT exam.
All India Management Association (AIMA) is conducting the MAT exam 2024 in four sessions, February, May, September and December in a year.
Candidates can do the MAT 2024 registration only online through the official website.
Management Aptitude Test 2024 will be held in CBT, PBT, and IBT modes.
Candidates can appear for more than one mode of the exam by paying the requisite AIMA MAT exam fee 2024.
Candidates can choose from around 7 management institutes to share the MAT exam 2024 scorecard free of cost. The additional institutes can only be selected by payment of MAT 2024 application fees of Rs. 118.
MAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates meeting MAT 2024 eligibility requirements can only apply for the MAT exam. Interested applicants can check out the MAT 2024 eligibility criteria before filling out the MAT form. The MAT eligibility criteria 2024 are mentioned below.
Candidates must have passed a 3 years bachelor’s degree from an approved university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks to apply for the MAT 2024.

How to fill out the MAT exam application 2024?
Eligible candidates can visit the official website and fill out the MAT application form 2024. The candidates attending for CBT, PBT, and IBT modes must complete the online MAT examination form. Candidates can follow the below steps for MAT registration to avoid confusion and mistakes while applying.
Steps to create MAT exam registration login
Candidates can visit the MAT exam official website - mat.aima.in.
Enter the details such as Name, Phone Number, Email ID, Date of Birth and set a password to create a MAT login account.
Confirm the details added and click the submit button.
After submission of the MAT exam registration details, an OTP will be shared to the registered mobile number.
After the verification of OTP, a new login will be shared to the registered email id.
Using the credentials, the candidate can log in to the account and complete the MAT exam registration.
Steps to complete the MAT Exam 2024 Registration
Step 1: Select AIMA MAT test mode and exam centre
Choose the MAT exam centres 2024 to attend the CBT and PBT mode exams. Applicants are allowed to choose at least one or two exam modes.
Step 2: Upload photo and signature
Upload the recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the below format:

Step 3: Select Management Institutes
Candidates who opt for two test modes can choose two management colleges to send their MAT exam scorecard to in addition to choosing five colleges.
Step 4: Payment of MAT exam application fees
After choosing the colleges the payment section will appear on the screen. Payment can done through Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking/Wallet. The MAT exam fees 2024 are around Rs. 2100 and an additional payment of Rs. 1200 is to be made to attend any two test modes.
Step 5: Enter the personal and educational details
After the payment of MAT exam fees 2024, candidates must fill out the personal details, education qualifications and work experience (if any).
Step 6: View and Download the MAT registration form.
Finally, candidates can view the MAT exam application form before submitting and download the MAT application form 2024 for future reference.

How to retrieve the MAT exam login password?
Candidates who forgot their MAT login password can easily retrieve it by following the steps mentioned below.
Click on the ‘Forgot password’ tab shown in the MAT exam login window.
Enter the following details E-mail address, Mobile number and Date of birth to verify your MAT application.
After submitting the details, a new link will be shared to the registered email address.
Candidates can click on the new link and create a new password for the AIMA MAT account.

The candidates can select preferred test cities for allotment of the MAT exam centre at the time of filling out the MAT application form. AIMA will conduct the MAT exam 2024 across 47 cities all over India. Candidates must report to the exam centres on the specified MAT exam date.

The MAT's GK Section is not taken into account while determining the composite score or final percentile. However, if you score well in the MAT GK Section, you will have an advantage during the GD/PI procedure. So General Knowledge is also important for the interview perspective.

MAT and NMAT are both entrance exams conducted for admission into management program in India. While there maybe some overlap in terms of the general aptitude & reasoning sections, it's important to note that they are conducted by different bodies and have different focuses.
MAT covers sections like language comprehension, Mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, and India and Global environment.
NMAT on the other hand, focuses on language skills, Quantitative analysis and logical reasoning.
MAT is conducted in either paper based or computer based but, NMAT is only computer based.
MAT scores are accepted by wide range of management schools across India. While NMAT score are primarily used for admission into NMIMS, and some other institutions.
Given these differences, it's advisable to study separately for each exam.
