Admission based on MAT is independent of AIMA, which is conducted separately by the participating colleges. More than 600 B-schools will conduct the MAT 2026 Counselling. Those who qualify for MAT 2026 will be required to apply separately to the participating institutes. However, candidates must note that the selection process for MAT varies from institute to institute. All the rounds are mentioned below.

MAT Counselling 2026

MAT 2026 counselling is the process of selecting candidates through group discussions and personal interviews. MAT counselling 2026 occurs only after MAT results are announced. Following the results, notice will be given for the schedule of MAT counselling. All shortlisted candidates will be summoned for the MAT selection procedure and the document verification process. At MAT counselling, candidates have to go through about 2 to 3 rounds of group discussions, personal interviews, and a few written tests.

The counselling/ selection process is part of the MAT exam procedure. MAT counselling is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for candidates who are looking for admission to MBA/PGDM courses offered by various affiliated colleges/institutes of the university.
