MAT Selection Procedure 2025 - All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT). After the declaration of the MAT result for the February 2025 session, the participating institutes will start the MAT selection process. There is no common MAT counselling process for MBA admission. MAT score-accepting colleges will have different admission policies to select candidates for admission to their MBA programmes.

MAT Selection Procedure 2025

Admission based on MAT is independent of AIMA, which is conducted separately by the participating colleges. More than 600 B-schools will conduct the MAT 2025 Counselling. Those who qualify for MAT 2025 will be required to apply separately to the participating institutes. However, candidates must note that the selection process for MAT varies from institute to institute. All the rounds are mentioned below.

MAT Counselling 2025

MAT 2025 counselling is the process of selecting candidates through group discussions and personal interviews. MAT counselling 2025 occurs only after MAT results are announced. Following the results, notice will be given for the schedule of MAT counselling. All shortlisted candidates will be summoned for the MAT selection procedure and the document verification process. At MAT counselling, candidates have to go through about 2 to 3 rounds of group discussions, personal interviews, and a few written tests.

The counselling/ selection process is the part of MAT exam procedure. MAT counselling is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for candidates who are looking for admission to MBA/PGDM courses offered by various affiliated colleges/institutes of the university. Candidates should note that AIMA does not have any centralized MAT counselling process 2025. The admission process will be conducted individually by each participating management institute.

Candidates can mention the points listed below which show all the information related to MAT Counselling 2025.

  • MAT Score Card: Most management institutes accept and consider the MAT score for admission to their management program. The students who clear the MAT cut off will be called for MAT CAP round.
  • MAT Percentile: Each college has its percentile to accept the MAT 2025 score/ results, based on which students can get admission to that college. Some colleges offer entrance exams for management programs following the MAT admissions process.
  • MAT Ranking: For the MAT counselling process, first, students must confirm their ranking. Then they have to confirm the date of their MAT selection and admission process 2025 as MAT counselling will be held on different dates as per the rankings. Make sure you choose your preferred course. Candidates have to select certain colleges to which they want to get admission.
  • Required Documents: Students are required to bring all the documents related to the counselling such as MAT 2025 Admit Card, Original Mark Sheet, and Passport Size Photos.

Documents Required for MAT Selection Procedure 2025

Candidates will have to carry the following documents for admission to institutes accepting MAT 2025 scores. It is mandatory to carry all the documents while appearing for the counselling process of MAT 2025.
