A well-planned daily routine is essential for effective MAT 2026 preparation and consistent improvement. Following a structured study schedule helps candidates balance all sections of the exam while improving accuracy, speed, and revision habits. A disciplined routine with proper breaks, mock tests, and revision sessions can significantly enhance overall performance and exam confidence.

Scoring well in MAT 2026 depends on equal focus on all sections, as none can be ignored. Candidates should build conceptual clarity, practice regularly under timed conditions, and analyse mock tests in depth. Below are the strategies that you should use while preparing for different sections of the MAT.
This section checks for reading ability, grammar, and vocabulary. Read editorials, articles, and short passages daily to improve comprehension speed. Focus on grammar rules for sentence correction and error spotting. Create a notebook containing idioms, phrases, and commonly confusing words. Also, practice para jumbles to develop logical flow.
MAT maths focuses more on application than complex theory. Strengthen arithmetic topics like percentages, averages, ratios, and time-based problems first, as they are scoring. Learn shortcut formulae related to different topics. Practice mental calculations to save time and avoid lengthy questions that consume excess minutes.
This section requires strong interpretation skills rather than advanced mathematics. Students should practice creating bar charts, line graphs, pie charts and caselets regularly. Students who master this skill will be able to assess different values while selecting which data points to examine. The team should avoid doing extra mathematical work and use estimation methods whenever they can. Accuracy is crucial, so double-check figures before marking answers.
Focus on understanding logical patterns instead of memorising solutions. Practise questions on arrangements, series, analogies, and statement-based reasoning. The process of solving complicated issues requires you to divide problems into manageable parts, which will help reduce your confusion. Mock tests help students build confidence through their practice of different question patterns, which include reasoning sets that range from moderate to difficult.
The knowledge-based section of this section contains materials which can be assessed through regular updates. Read business news, current affairs, and basic economic concepts consistently. Concentrate on financial matters, corporate advancements, governmental regulations, and international organisation functions.
