XAT 2023 Test Pattern- Sectional Breakup of Questions
As per the trends of the XAT paper pattern over the past years, the total number of questions that will be asked in XAT 2023 is 100. The XAT exam pattern has questions multiple choice-based questions. The sections from which questions are asked in the XAT exam are- Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge along with Essay Writing section.
The duration of the XAT 2023 exam is 180 minutes with no sectional time limit except the GK section which has to be solved in 15 minutes. However last year Essy writing section was re-introduced for which candidates were given 10 minutes making the exam duration to 190 minutes. XAT Marking Scheme 2023
One of the key aspects of the XAT exam paper is the marking scheme. The XAT marking scheme pattern is different from other test papers. There is no negative marking for questions asked in the General Knowledge sections. However, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. In addition to this, if the candidate leaves 8 questions and more unattempted then the negative marking of 0.10 marks is done. Check the XAT marking scheme below:

0.10 marks will be deducted for more than eight unanswered questions
There will be no negative marking in the General Knowledge section

XAT i.e Xavier Admission Test, which is conducted to give admission into MBA and PGDM courses only.

Difficulty level of the examination depends on the preparation for the exam by the candidate .
CAT and XAT are difficult exams when compared to other MBA entrance exams.
As though the syllabus is almost same. both CAT and XAT considered to be almost same at the difficulty level . When compared to other parts, the DILR portion in CAT is frequently more difficult than the other sections, while the Quantitative Aptitude component in XAT is frequently more difficult than the other sections. duration of CAT is 120 Minutes with 3 sections, and XAT is 180 minutes with 4 sections.
