Questions related to XAT
Hi there, I got 91.67% in 10th and 75.2% in 12th, if I get 9.5+ cgpa in graduation and 99.7+ percentile in CAT, then is there any chance for me to get in Any IIMs A,B,C,L,K,I, XLRI(with XAT),NITIE,SYBIOSIS ; just after graduation that is with 0 work experience ??
As you have mentioned that you have got 91.6% in 10th and 75.2% in 12th and taking into consideration that you have secured 99.7 percentile in cat so let me tell you it's a very good percentile to grab iims.
So, because of your 12th percentage there will be a certain disadvantages because it has its own weightage. But you stand fair chances for NITIE ,xlri, iim Kozhikode and some lower iims and lastly also symbiosis.
is there any chance of going out of India after doing marine logistics?
Marine logistics play an important role in international trade and commerce. Almost of the trade through sea route which always increases the need of professionals in this field. There is a wide range of scope in logistics and shipping.
After completing your degree, you can join government/ private shipping companies and various port agencies in India or in abroad. Shipping industries are one of the best sectors to make your career in India and abroad which will itself provide opportunities to go out for work.
Hope this answers your question.
if a sc category student has 67.77 in ssc , 52.27 in hsc , 7.0 cgpa in graduation and he is non engineer.if he score 99+ in cat so is there any chances that he will getting any call from old or main iim. he should target cat or he can prepare for other exam like xat , snap , nmat , iift ?
It is very difficult to state definitely whether you'll get a call from the old (IIMs I,K,L) or main (IIMs A,B,C) IIMs with your past academics records even on scoring 99+ percentile in CAT. There are reservations no doubt and you will be eligible for that, but usually for these IIMs especially IIM A,B and C, somewhat around 99 percentiles are required for non-engineers with good academic scores for non-reserved candidates.
All that said, under the CAT umbrella several other B-Schools come most of which do not see your past academics and a lot of them provide really good placements at par with IIMs. So with 99+ in CAT you'll easily be able to get calls from them.
Therefore, work hard for CAT and let fate decide what is in for you.
All the best.
