All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2026 in two modes: CBT and PBT. The AIMA announced MAT exam dates for the February cycle on its official website, mat.aima.in. AIMA will conduct the MAT entrance exam in 68 cities across the country. There are different exam centres for PBT and CBT. As per the MAT 2026 February session exam date, PBT mode will be held on March 01, and CBT will be held on March 08, 2026. Candidates should check the list of MAT exam centres given here before applying so that they can choose the MAT exam centre of their choice.

At the time of the MAT 2026 application form filling out for paper-based tests and computer-based tests, candidates must choose the MAT exam centre as per their convenience and preference. Candidates can choose up to two cities as per their preferred location. Candidates will be allotted the MAT exam centres 2026 based on their chosen test cities and mode in the MAT application form.
The exam venue details of the allotted MAT 2026 exam centre will be mentioned on the MAT admit card. Candidates can appear for the MAT entrance exam at the allotted MAT test centre only. Candidates who are going to take the MAT exam can check the complete list of MAT test cities on this page.

For MAT CBT mode candidates, they will have to take the MAT 2026 entrance exam on a computer system at the MAT test centre. In order to take the MAT CBT mode, candidates have to use their User ID and password; after that, the MAT question paper will be displayed on the computer screen. The MAT PBT mode is conducted in a smaller number of test cities when compared to the MAT CBT. Given below is the list of MAT test cities for PBT and CBT modes.

Candidates can choose two MAT test cities as per their preference at the time of MAT online form filling.
Along with MAT admit card, candidates are required to carry one valid photo ID proof.
There is no age bar to apply for the MAT entrance test.
MAT scorecard will be valid for one year only.
Usually, around 20,000 candidates appear for every session in the MAT exam.
There will be a total of 150 questions asked in the MAT exam.
For one mode, candidates have to pay Rs 2200/-; for both PBT and CBT mode, candidates have to pay Rs 3800/-.
There is no limit to the number of times candidates can appear for the MAT entrance exam.
There are more than 600 colleges that accept MAT score cards to offer admission into MBA and PGDM programmes.
Yes, 400 is a good composite score in the MAT exam.
