NMAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
GMAC, the conducting body of NMAT 2024, prescribed the eligibility criteria for NMAT by GMAC 2024.
- The candidate must have completed a graduation degree with 50% marks under 10+2+3 or four years of education in any stream.
- Final year students are also eligible to appear for NMAT 2024.
- Age Limit: There is no age restriction to apply for the NMAT by GMAC exam 2024.
- Working Experience: It is not mandatory. During the final selection process, preference will be given to candidates with two to three years of work experience.
NMAT 2024 Application Form
GMAC closed the NMAT 2024 application window on October 13. Candidates can fill out the NMAT registration form at the official website, register.nmat.org. - Create an account by visiting the NMAT 2024 official website, register.nmat.org and providing your name, email ID, mobile number, and the country where you want to take the NMAT by GMAC test.
- Find and click on the ‘Create an Account’ button, which will lead to the generation of a verification email. Access the dashboard using the received verification link.
- Next, click on the ‘Register Now’ button from the dashboard and proceed to fill in the required details.
- Then, accept the declaration check box and click on the ‘I Agree’ button.
- Finally, pay the NMAT 2024 application fee using the preferred mode of payment.
- To take a retake of NMAT 2024, candidates must pay an exam fee of Rs. 3,000 once again.

GMAC states that the admission process for NMAT 2024 will be done in two steps: The first step in the NMAT selection process is to appear for the NMAT 2024. The NMAT 2024 selection process consists of two rounds of Group Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI).
Candidates who clear the NMAT exam 2024 and meet the required NMAT 2024 cutoff will receive NMIMS interview calls.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research offers two-year, full-time PGDM , PGDM-BM, 18 months PGPM and Global Management programme. Admission to the PGDM, PGDM BM and PGPM programmes is made through the CAT and GMAT scores only. SPJIMR does not accept the NMAT scores for admission to these programmes. However, if you want to apply for the Global Management programme, then you can apply for admission through the NMAT scores along with CAT/ XAT / GRE/ GMAT scores.

When you sit for NMAT, it does take a strict process of identity verification. That can be done as follows:
- Keep valid ID proof with your signature on it such as your passport or PAN card, etc. ID issued by the government with your photo and signature would be considered acceptable. The same will be cross-checked at the time of reaching the test center.
- Digital Signature: These days, their digital signature is quite abundantly collected through the check-in process, which is made on a digital pad or on a device.
- Manual Signature: They may at times ask for your manual signature on an attendance sheet, as proof of your presence during the test.
However, kindly refer to the guidelines by the NMAT exam authorities or the test center for specific information.

MAT and NMAT are both entrance exams conducted for admission into management program in India. While there maybe some overlap in terms of the general aptitude & reasoning sections, it's important to note that they are conducted by different bodies and have different focuses.
MAT covers sections like language comprehension, Mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, and India and Global environment.
NMAT on the other hand, focuses on language skills, Quantitative analysis and logical reasoning.
MAT is conducted in either paper based or computer based but, NMAT is only computer based.
MAT scores are accepted by wide range of management schools across India. While NMAT score are primarily used for admission into NMIMS, and some other institutions.
Given these differences, it's advisable to study separately for each exam.
