Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2018 – KEA has released the Second and Final Round Allotment Results link. The admission order link will be active until October 15, and the fee payment link was active until October 13, 2018. Earlier, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has activated the Option Entry link for the second round of Karnataka PGCET 2018 counselling and the link will remain activated from October 1 (6 PM) to October 5 (11:00 am). The seat allotment result will be published on October 6 (after 11 am). For candidates, who are yet to undergo the document verification process should do so on October 3 at the Bangalore centre (10 AM-11 AM). Candidates, who have successfully completed the document verification process will be allowed to fill the option entry form pertaining to the selection of college/s and course/s. The Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018 counselling process has commenced with the document verification from September 10 and continued until September 17, 2018. Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2018 will be held in order to select candidates for admission to MBA programme in Government and Private B-schools spread across the state of Karnataka. The Centralised Allotment Process will be exercised by the conducting authority which would be preceded by the release of seat matrix to MBA programme in various B-schools. The Karnataka PGCET MBA result 2018 has been declared on August 18, 2018. Candidates who would have appeared in the state-level exam will get shortlisted on the basis of their marks/ scores obtained in the Karnataka PGCET MBA exam. Points to Remember

  • Candidates will not receive any individual intimation via e-mail or post regarding the document verification schedule.

  • The official KEA website can be referred to for viewing the official Helpline Centres. They need to be personally present in the Helpline Centre as per the notified schedule for getting their documents verified. Verification will not be exercised after the scheduled date.

  • If a candidate wishes to surrender his/her seat, he/she has to surrender the seat only to KEA, the administering authority. Merely not reporting to the selected college should not be presumed by the candidate that he/she has surrendered the seat to KEA. Candidates who select a seat in the first round but wish to surrender/cancel the selected seat should surrender the seat on or before the last date fixed for entry of options in the second and final round, i.e., before 10.00 am on October 3, 2018.

  • All aspirants should read the ‘PGCET-2018 e-brochure’ which comprises details pertaining to eligibility parameters, documents to be submitted, entry of priority of options, making the right choices, surrender process of a selected seat, refund and forfeiture conditions, reporting to the college, to mention a few. 

 Official Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling Notification

  • It is a mandate for all eligible candidates to get along all listed original documents (along with one set of attested photocopies) when they come for document verification on the scheduled date.

  • Failing to produce any of the original documents/ certificates/mark sheets on verification date, will lead to cancellation of candidature. Such candidates’ documents will not be verified any further; precisely their registration process would remain incomplete and subsequently, they won’t be eligible to exercise their entry options. 

  • For candidates securing multiple ranks, can come to the Helpline Centre on the scheduled date according to their highest rank across disciplines. They do not need to take part using other ranks in different disciplines.

  • General Merit, Reserved and Special category candidates can attend document verification in any of the helpline centres as per the schedule, but Non-Karnataka candidates, GATE qualified candidates; sponsored quota candidates, part-time quota candidates should attend the document verification in Bangalore centre alone as per their obtained ranks.

  • The document verification for the Differently Abled (PwD) and Ex-Defence (only for MBA and MCA) category candidates will be conducted on September 7, 2018, 11.30 am onwards at Karnataka Examinations Authority, 18th Cross, Sampige Road, Malleswaram, Bangalore. 

Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018 Counselling Process

  • Registration of applicants at the listed counselling centres of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018- Registration of candidates, after which they are assigned respective User ID and Password.

  • Verification of the documents - Documents submitted by candidates will undergo verification and cross-checking process for being shortlisted the for the further selection procedure.

  • Verification Schedule - The schedule will be verified and the entry options of candidates will be checked.

  • Option Entry - This is the process in which the candidates state their choices of college/s and course/s. One needs to complete the document verification before going ahead with the selection of college/s and course/s (option entry). Candidates need to type the secret keyword given in the verification slip to begin the process. It will remain active until September 20 (10 AM).
  • Seat Selection - Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018 Seat allotment process starts after the process candidates are offered choices which they need to make for seat selection

  • Reporting to the Allotted Institute - Admission to institutes after which candidates have to report to the concerned institute and make the required payment of admission fee at the fee counter.

The Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2018 will be conducted in two rounds -

  • Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018 Counselling: Round one - In the first round, candidates belonging to Karnataka and Non- Karnataka General and reserved category who are shortlisted from the merit list are called for the round one.

  • Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018 Counselling: Casual Counselling - In this round, the vacant seats are merged with government seats general category and allotted to candidates who qualify. Candidates must remember to carry required documents at the time of Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2018.

 What documents to carry at the time of Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2018?

Successful aspirants can find the list of documents to be carried to the counselling of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018-

  • Karnataka PGCET MBA Admit Card 2018

  • SSLC or 10th class marks card

  • 2nd PUC Marks card or class 12th marks card

  • Study certificate to show that the candidate has previously studied in Karnataka for at least seven years

  • Qualifying exam marks card/mark-sheet

  • Domicile Certificate, if applicable

  • Apart from the above documents, aspiring candidates need to submit fees in form of Demand Draft (DD) in favour of ‘PGCET MBA’ payable at Belgaum as well. 

Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2018: Allotment of seats

The allotment of seats completely depends on the priority of options given by the test takers as per their merit/rank. The following steps should be abided by the candidates before entering their preferences in the online option entry form-

  • The candidate should write the name of the college, the course offered in a separate sheet of paper.

  • The cutoff rank for the preferred college and course may be seen so that the candidate will get an idea about where he/she stands to pertain to his/her rank.

  • The priority of options among the colleges selected should be noted down.

  • A mock allotment on real-time data given by the candidates will also be executed before the actual commencement of the First Round so that the candidate can know the college and course allotted as per his preference/options. The candidate is allowed to change/edit his options after seeing the mock allotment as well. This will aid in finding out candidates’ standing as per their merit and options.

  • The verification slip will be issued to the candidates indicating the category which they belong, rank number for each discipline if eligible, special category if applicable etc. It will help in choosing the college or course or place of the college.

  • It is advisable to write the order of options on a white paper before actually entering in the system.

Candidates should note that the Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018 seat allotment to each candidate for private and government institutes will be done as per the reservation criteria. Nevertheless, the General category seats under management quota are allotted to both Karnataka and Non- Karnataka candidates.

As per the Karnataka PGCET MBA exam pattern 2018, the exam was conducted for 100 marks with a duration of 120 minutes. The question paper of paper-pencil mode test will consist of four sections; each section carries 25 questions and 25 marks each. Every correct answer response will be awarded one mark and no negative marking scheme is attached as per the scoring pattern of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2018.
