Karnataka PGCET MBA CounsellingKarnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2017: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct counselling of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 tentatively in the month of August, 2017. Karnataka PCGET MBA 2017 counselling will commence after the declaration of result. The Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 result is likely to be announced in third/ fourth week of July, 2017. Candidates who appeared in the state level exam will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks scored in the Karnataka PGCET MBA. After which the shortlisted candidates are called for further selection round such as the counselling and seat allotment round. KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2017 in order to select candidates for admission to MBA programme in government B-schools spread across Karnataka.


There may be an instance in the Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017, where candidates score the same marks. Thus, in such scenario, a candidate with the higher aggregate marks will be given top priority. Apart from this, the other way to select a candidate is the age factor. In case candidates score the same marks, then the candidate of higher age will be given preference over the younger candidate.

 Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 Counselling Process

  • Registration of candidates at the counselling centres - Registration of candidates, after which they are assigned User ID and Password

  • Verification of the documents - Documents submitted by candidates are verified and cross-checked for further selection procedure

  • Verification Schedule - The schedule will be verified and the entry options of candidates will be checked

  • Seat Selection - Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 Seat allotment process starts after the process candidates are offered choices which they need to make for seat selection

  • Reporting to the Allotted Institute - Admission to institutes  after which candidates have to report to the concerned institute and make the required payment of admission fee at the fee counter

The Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2017 will be held in two rounds:

  • Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 Counselling - Round one: In the first round, candidates belonging to Karnataka and Non- Karnataka General and reserved category who are shortlisted from the merit list are called for the round one.

  • Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 Counselling - Casual Counselling: While in this round, the vacant seat from round are merged with government seats general category and allotted to candidates who qualify. Candidates must remember to carry required document at the time of Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2017.

Documents to be carried at the time of Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2017


Below eligible candidates can find the list of documents to be carried to the counselling round:

  • Karnataka PGCET MBA Admit Card 2017

  • SSLC or 10th class marks card

  • 2nd PUC Marks card or class 12th marks card

  • Study certificate to show that the candidate has previously studied in Karnataka for at least seven years

  • Qualifying exam marks card

  • Domicile Certificate

Apart from the above documents, candidates also have to submit fees in form of Demand Draft (DD) in favour of ‘PGCET MBA’ payable at Belgaum.

It should be noted that the Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 seat allotment to each candidate for private and government institutes will be done as per the reservation criteria. The General category seats under management quota are allotted to both Karnataka and Non- Karnataka candidates.
