Earlier, authorities commenced the Karnataka PGCET 2025 registration process on April 25, 2025. Yes, it is possible. In PGCET, branches like CSE, ISE, and related specializations (like AI, ML, Data Science) are offered during counselling. If you are from EC background, you are eligible to opt for CSE/IT/Data Science branches in M.Tech through KEA. However, keep in mind that the cut-off for Data Science is quite high because it is in demand.

With a rank of 3640 in Karnataka PGCET, your chances of getting into the top colleges like RVCE or UVCE are low because they usually close at much lower ranks. However, since you belong to HK quota and 3BG category, your chances improve significantly because reserved category seats extend the cutoff ranks further. Based on past cutoffs, you should still have a good chance at reputed colleges such as BMSIT Bangalore, SJCE Mysore, or Dayananda Sagar. These colleges are well-regarded and provide good placements. The exact college will depend on your preferred branch. You can check the KEA official counseling cut-off lists from last year for your quota and category. That will give you a realistic idea of where you can get admission.
