KMAT Selection ProcedureKMAT Selection Procedure 2017: The selection procedure of KMAT 2017 are for those test takers who have scored marks as per the cut off of the KMAT. The KMAT 2017 selection procedure is conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA). The selection procedure of KMAT 2017 will start after each of the participating institutes will announce the list of shortlisted candidates for further selection procedure. The selection procedure of KMAT 2017 is done for students who are keen on pursuing postgraduate management programmes in Bangalore or Karnataka.The KMAT will be held on 30 July 2017. Thus, the KMAT 2017 selection procedure will commence after the KMAT results are declared on 7 August 2017. The selection procedure of KMAT 2017 will take place after candidates clear the entrance exam and meet the cut-off set by the conducting body.

 

According to KPPGCA, it does not conduct any counseling round. KMAT selection procedure 2017 is divided into two parts, first being the KMAT 2017. While the other part is where the KMAT accepting B-schools shortlist candidates based on the cut-off set by them. Therefore, each institute will have their own cut off and thus, a candidate has to apply separately to each B-school.

 

Apart from this the selection procedure of KMAT 2017 also comprises Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. It depends on the participating institutes, some B-schools may ask candidates to take essay writing test or written ability test. KMAT participating institutes may consider a candidate based on their prior academic records, work experience and other factors such as extracurricular activities.

 

KMAT is conducted for admission to number of postgraduate programmes including MBA , MCA and PGDM in Karnataka covering 10,000 seats. The scores of KMAT 2017 will be accepted by over 169 AICTE approved universities and B-schools spread across Bangalore and Karnataka. Kerala aspirants can also apply for the entrance exam.
