KMAT SyllabusKMAT Syllabus 2017:  Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) conducted KMAT on 30 July 2017. The conducting body- KPPGCA had announced the KMAT 2017 syllabus. Candidate had to prepare for KMAT according to the syllabus of KMAT 2017. KMAT was conducted in paper-pencil mode and had to be completed in two hours duration. It is crucial for a candidate to understand and know the KMAT 2017 syllabus, as it would not only help them prepare well but also know what to expect in the entrance exam. Apart from the KMAT syllabus 2017, candidates must also be aware of the exam pattern and its marking scheme.

KMAT 2017 comprised of 120 Multiple choice questions which were divided into three sections. While the marking scheme for the same is quite simple, each correct answer receives +4 marks, while each incorrect answer faces a penalty of -1 marks.

KMAT Syllabus - Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension


This section in KMAT 2017 syllabus comprises questions which test candidate’s English language ability. The ability will be checked through questions based on vocabulary, grammar, antonyms, synonyms, sentence completion, comprehension of given passages to name a few. The Verbal ability and reading comprehension section were divided into two parts, just as the name suggests. One part measured the verbal ability of the candidate while the other part measured reading passages. Candidates can expect questions based on the content of comprehension.


KMAT Syllabus - Logical and Abstract Reasoning


While under this section, candidates had to answer questions based on logical reasoning. The section included questions that measure how quickly and accurately a candidate can think and responds. The topics were based on analogy and verbal reasoning.


KMAT Syllabus - Quantitative Ability


This section was all about numbers, meaning the Quantitative section comprises questions to check how fast and accurate a candidate is with numbers, how quickly can they perform numerical calculations. The questions in the section were not only based on Arithmetic, but may also be based on Geometry, Algebra, Trignometry and other parts of Maths. This test also helps measure candidates power of interpreting tables, graphs, charts and quantitative reasoning.


 It is recommended that candidates must refer and go through the syllabus of KMAT 2017 before preparing for the entrance exam. A candidate must not leave out any topic as it may lead to huge blunder.


KMAT is conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), for admissions to more than 150 + University-affiliated B-schools in Bangalore and Karnataka. KMAT 2017 will be held in more than 10 cities all across the country.
