MICA Ahmedabad has released MICAT phase 1 admit card in online mode on December 4. Earlier, authorities commenced the MICAT phase 2 registration on November 25. Candidates can fill out the MICAT exam application form till January 11, 2025. The MICAT 2025 exam form is available only in online mode at mica.ac.in. Candidates seeking PGDM-C/PGDM admission in MICA must appear for the MICAT entrance exam and have a valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT. The first phase of the MICAT exam will be held on December 7, 2024. What is MICAT Exam?
MICA Admission Test (MICAT) is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted for MICA's PGP courses, including Post Graduate Diploma in Management–Communications (PGDM-C) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The MICAT exam is conducted twice a year in 48 cities across the country. The MICAT exam is a collection of objective and subjective questions in various sections. The examination consists of three sections, namely:
MICA conducts the MICAT examination in two phases, namely MICAT I and MICAT II. A better of the two MICAT scores is considered. Admission to MICA takes place through a single-tier filtering process: CAT/XAT/GMAT performance; performance in the MICAT exam; and performance in GE and PI. The final composite score will be generated based on the following weightage:

MICA began the MICAT 2025 registration process for phase 2 in online mode. Candidates can fill out and submit the phase 2 MICAT 2025 application form by visiting the official website, mica.ac.in by January 11, 2025. Step 1: Registration for MICAT: First, Candidates have to register by using their valid email address and password.
Step 2: Fill an application form of MICAT 2025: After registration, candidates have to fill all the information, such as personal details, academic details, and work experience (if any) and select at least three preferred exam centres from the list available. Candidates have to select the city where they would like to present for the group exercise and personal interview.
Step 3: Exam selection: Candidates should select the test in which they have appeared: CAT/ XAT/ GMAT
Step 4: Upload Photo and Signature: Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature with a file size not more than 80 KB and in jpg or jpeg format.

MICA released the MICAT 2025 admit card for phase 1 on December 4, 2024 and for MICAT II, the admit card will be available on January 22, 2025. Candidates need to enter their login details, such as MICA ID and password, in the login window to download the MICAT 2025 admit card. What to carry along with admit card of MICAT 2025?
Candidates will have to carry proofs of the following identity proofs along with MICAT 2025 admit card; otherwise, their entry will be restricted inside the examination hall:
MICA will announce the MICAT exam 2025 result for phase 1 on December 20 and for phase 2, the MICAT 2025 result will be declared on February 14, 2025. The MICAT 2025 result will be declared in the form of a scorecard. The MICAT 2025 result mentions the qualifying status of the candidate. To check the MICAT 2025 exam result, candidates have to enter their login credentials in the login window.
How to check MICAT 2025 result?
The MICAT final result will be computed after the GE and PI rounds are completed. Selection, i.e., the final MICAT result, will be on the basis of the CAT/XAT/GMAT performance, MICAT scores, and performance in GE & PI.

Candidates who are going to appear for the entrance exam should know that the MICAT exam process consists of four steps, as explained below:
Step-I: Valid Scores in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT
All applicants must have a valid score in any one: CAT/ XAT/ GMAT. The scores of these national-level management entrance exams will be considered in the compilation of the final merit list. CAT 2024/ XAT 2025/ GMAT score should be entered while filling out the online application form of MICAT. For the XAT score, only XAT registration number should be mentioned. Authority will collect XAT score directly from XLRI.
Step-II: MICA Admission Test (MICAT 2025).
MICAT is the computer based test held in exam centres across 48 cities in the country. The test has three sections, as mentioned below
Step-III: Group Exercise & Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for both Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of their performance in CAT/ XAT/GMAT and MICAT.
Step-IV: Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of the final composite score compiled as follows;
How will candidates be shortlisted for GE & PI rounds?
For GE & PI, the Psychometric test will be the first step to qualify.
Those who will qualify in the Psychometric test, their CAT/XAT/GMAT performance will be taken into consideration
Those who will qualify based on the CAT/XAT cutoff or GMAT score will further be assessed on the following MICAT sections: Verbal ability (VA), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QADI), General Awareness (GA), and Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCT).
Those candidates who will qualify on the basis of performance subject to a minimum cutoff in a scaled score for each of these sections (namely: VA, QADI, GA and DCT) and CAT/XAT cut-off or GMAT scores will have their Descriptive Tests analysed for selection.
Note: The list of qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of scores of both phases of MICAT 2025 entrance exam if a candidate has taken both MICAT-I and MICAT-II.

MICAT Shortlisting Criteria for GE and PI and Preparation of Final Merit List
Step 1: Section-A (psychometric test) is first checked. This section is a qualifier.
Step 2: Those who qualify through Section-A, their relative performance on the CAT exam/ XAT test/ GMAT exam is considered. A minimum cutoff in CAT/GMAT score/XAT total percentile shall be considered (Best of the 3 scores is considered.)
Step 3: Those who qualify based on the performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT, their Section C (all sub-sections) of MICAT is assessed.
Step 4: Candidates who appear in GE and PI must be recommended by majority of the panelists of PI to be considered for the final merit list

The MICAT entrance exam is conducted for admission to a number of PGDM and PGDM-C programmes.

MICAT Syllabus  - Psychometric Test
Basically, this is a personality test and this section is different from other management entrance examinations. It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt all the questions in this section. Some of the important aspects related to the test are explained below.
In this section, the questions are designed to assess the candidates’ behavior which includes thinking ability, personality, strengths and weaknesses etc. Questions are based on career goals, life goals, situational judgement. Candidates should answer the questions with honesty and open mind

Duration allotted for the psychometric test is 25 minutes.
According to previous year sample papers, in the first set of questions, out of the three options candidates should select the option which describes their behavior in the best way.
