IBSAT SyllabusIBSAT Syllabus 2017 - The syllabus of IBSAT 2017 is prescribed by The ICFAI Foundation. IBSAT syllabus 2017 brings to you information regarding various topics and areas covered within the exam. IBSAT 2017 syllabus has five areas - Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy, Vocabulary, Analytical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. According to the analysis of previous years’ IBSAT, aspirants can identify the important and pertinent topics in each section which must the prepared by them in order to succeed in IBSAT 2017. This article of Careers360 brings to you the detailed syllabus for IBSAT 2017 which was conducted from December 21 to December 24, 2017.

 

Before going through IBSAT syllabus 2017, let us understand the exam pattern of IBSAT 2017. ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test or IBSAT is a computer-based test of 120 minutes duration carrying multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from 5 sections. IBSAT Syllabus for Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation

 

This section will check the candidates’ ability to deal with complex data. The questions will be based on pie charts, bar graphs, etc. The questions should be answered on the basis of quick calculations. It is expected that the total number of questions in this section will be 30.

  • Bar graphs & Column graphs

  • Critical reasoning

  • Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency

  • Logical Reasoning

  • Pie chart

  • Tables

  • Venn – diagram

  • Visual reasoning

IBSAT Syllabus for Quantitative Techniques

 

This section will measure the numerical ability & problem-solving skills of the candidates. It is expected that the total number of questions in this section will be 30.

 

Below mentioned are the important topics to cover under this section:

  • Algebra & Geometry

  • Arithmetic Progression

  • Co-ordinate Geometry

  • LCM & HCF

  • Percentage

  • Permutation & Combination

  • Probability

  • Profit & Loss

  • Quadratic and linear equation

  • Time, Speed & Distance

IBSAT Syllabus for Reading Comprehension

 

Candidates are required to answer the questions based on the comprehension passages in this section. This section includes 3 reading comprehension passages from which the questions are asked. The nature of the questions asked in this section are direct and seek factual answers. It is expected that the total number of questions in this section will be 30.

 

IBSAT Syllabus for Verbal Ability

 

This section will test the knowledge of English language. It is expected that the total number of questions in this section will be 50.

  • Analogies

  • Comprehension of passage

  • Contextual usage & English Usage

  • Incorrect words

  • Para Jumble

  • Punctuation

  • Synonyms and Antonyms

  • Replace the missing words

  • Sentence completion

  • Grammar & Idioms, etc.

IBSAT 2017 Mock Test

 

IBS has launched the mock test for IBSAT 2017 candidates in order to help them assess preparation level and help them prepare the exam-taking strategy. Candidates have to follow the given steps to take the IBSAT 2017 mock test.

  • Enter Name, Email Address, Mobile Number and Select State from Drop Down option
  • Click on Mock Test 1 

The list of IBSAT 2017 exam centres has been provided by the officials for the aspirants to check all the options before selecting and finalising their test city. IBSAT 2017 was conducted across 94 centres all over India.

 

IBS announced the important dates of IBSAT 2017 in the month of June. The application form for IBSAT 2017 was available from July 1 till December 18, 2017. After completing the registration process, candidates could download their IBSAT 2017 admit card. The result of IBSAT 2017 will be announced online on January 2, 2018. The selection procedure of IBSAT 2017 will be conducted after the declaration of result on February 20 to 26, 2018.
