MICAT Exam 2026: Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad, will soon conduct the MICAT 2026 exam in two phases. MBA aspirants looking for MICAT MBA admission must note that Phase 1 of the MICAT exam 2026 is expected to be held on the first Saturday of December 2025. All candidates aspiring for the MICAT 2026 exam must be aware of the MICAT eligibility criteria and ensure that they fulfil every requirement before filling out the MICAT application form.

  • Before registering for the MICAT 2026 exam, candidates must have appeared in or be scheduled to appear in either of the following exams: CAT 2025, XAT 2026, or GMAT (from 2024 onwards).

  • Students must have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline, which will be recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

MICAT 2026 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The MICAT exam pattern 2026 is designed by the MICA. Furthermore, the exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for a duration of 135 minutes. The MICAT 2026 exam will include 3 sections, and one will need to attempt a total of 224 questions in the English medium only.

Each section in the MICAT exam 2026 will have a different weightage and a total number of questions. The MICAT exam pattern is designed in such a way that the exact number of questions is never known. The MICAT exam is a combination of both objective and subjective questions, where candidates get to show their skills.

MICAT 2026 Marking Scheme

The MICAT 2026 marking pattern is used to determine the performance of the candidates in the MICAT entrance exam. The MICAT marking scheme for different sections is as follows:

  • Section A: According to the MICAT exam pattern 2026, there will be no negative marking for this section.

  • Section B: Similar to Section A, no marks will be deducted in this section.

  • Section C: Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each of the correct responses, and -0.25 negative marking shall be done for every correct answer.

MICAT 2026 Admit Card

The MICAT 2026 admit card will be released after the MICAT exam registration process has been completed by the candidate by filling out the MICAT application form. All registered candidates will be able to download their MICAT admit card 2026 by visiting the official website, mica.ac.in.

All candidates must note that MICA will provide two different admit cards for both Phase 1 and 2 of the exam. It is important that they bring a printed copy of their MICAT 2026 hall ticket along with them to the exam centre to get entry. Additionally, one must keep the MICAT 2026 admit card safe with them until the entire admission process has been concluded.

MICAT 2026 Result

The final MICAT 2025 result will be announced online on the official website, mica.ac.in. Following the announcement of the MICAT result, all candidates will be able to check their final scores by logging in using their credentials created during the MICAT registration process.

Post announcement of results, the shortlisted will be invited for further rounds: Group Exercises (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) sessions at various MICA campuses.

The MICAT 2026 result will include scaled and entrance exam scores of CAT/XAT/GMAT scores. MICA does not officially announce the MICAT cut-off; however, the shortlisting will be based on the composite score, which is as follows:

MICAT 2026 Selection Process

Before getting admission to MICA Ahmedabad, all candidates will need to take the MICAT (MICA Admissions Test), which is held twice a year. One can sit for either of the MICAT exam phases; MICA will consider the best score. Once the final MICAT results are out, candidates will be shortlisted for the final rounds of assessment, which will include: Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).

Here is a quick process of how the MICAT selection process will be conducted post the release of the MICAT scores.

  • Step 1: Candidates must take either of the entrance exams: CAT, XAT or GMAT.

  • Step 2: After taking any of the above exams, candidates will then have to apply for MICAT.

  • Step 3: Post release of the MICAT result, shortlisted candidates will be called for GE & PI rounds, which will take place in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Based on the results from the above round, the final merit list will be prepared for students to get into MICA admission 2026.

MICAT Syllabus  - Psychometric Test


Basically, this is a personality test and this section is different from other management entrance examinations. It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt all the questions in this section. Some of the important aspects related to the test are explained below.


In this section, the questions are designed to assess the candidates’ behavior which includes thinking ability, personality, strengths and weaknesses etc. Questions are based on career goals, life goals, situational judgement. Candidates should answer the questions with honesty and open mind


Multiple-choice questions are asked.


Duration allotted for the psychometric test is 25 minutes.


According to previous year sample papers, in the first set of questions, out of the three options candidates should select the option which describes their behavior in the best way.


In the second set of MICAT questions, candidates were asked to give a rating on a scale of 1 to 6 for the responses in terms of their priority under a certain scenario. Around 8 to 10 questions were asked in the entrance exam.
