KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 – The eligibility criteria of KMAT 2018 is laid down by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA). In order to appear for KMAT 2018, candidates must meet the KMAT eligibility criteria 2018. KMAT 2018 is a state-level entrance exam which will be held in paper-pen mode in the last week of July, 2018. According to the KMAT 2018 eligibility criteria, candidates must have a bachelor degree from a recognised university in Karnataka. There is no age bar to appear for KMAT exam. Applications for KMAT will commence from the second week of May and continue until the second week of July, 2018. Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a standardized state-level entrance examination for admission to post graduation in management such as MBA which is offered by B-schools of Karnataka.
KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018
The eligibility criteria of KMAT 2018 is based on UGC guidelines:
Age: Minimum 21 years old. No cap on maximum age.
Qualifying Exam: It is mandatory for the candidates to hold a bachelor degree (3 years duration)/master degree in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have passed the above mentioned qualifying examination with at least 50 per cent marks. SC/ST candidates have the benefit of 5 per cent relaxation. Minimum qualifying examination marks for SC/ST is 40 per cent.
Reservation: 15 per cent seats reserved for SC, 7.5 per cent for ST, 27 per cent for OBC and 3 per cent seats reserved for PD.
If the candidates don't have the necessary documents supporting their claim of completion of Bachelor's Degree they can be removed from the process thereafter.
Candidates will then be shortlisted on the basis on their performance in KMAT. The scorecards of the candidates will be sent to the colleges
The selected candidates who have qualified in KMAT need to report to their respective college to secure admissions.
What after KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018?
Candidates who want to appear for the entrance exam must fill the KMAT application form 2018 in online mode. Test takers of KMAT 2018 can complete the form both online and offline. To complete the KMAT registration, candidates have to make a payment of Rs. 800 towards the KMAT application fee. The payment can be in the form of Demand draft in favour of ‘KMAT 2018’ or can be paid online using debit/credit card.
