KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 – Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has laid down the KMAT 2018 eligibility criteria. In order to appear for KMAT 2018, candidates must meet the KMAT eligibility criteria 2018. KMAT 2018 is a state-level entrance exam which was held in paper-pen mode on August 5, 2018. According to the KMAT 2018 eligibility criteria, candidates must have a bachelor degree from a recognised university in Karnataka. There is no age bar to appear for KMAT exam. Applications for KMAT began on June 7 and continued until July 25, 2018. Being able to understand the eligibility criteria is a matter of concern for each candidate before applying for KMAT. Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a standardised state-level entrance examination for admission to post graduation in management such as MBA which is offered by B-schools of Karnataka.
KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018
The eligibility criteria of KMAT 2018 is based on UGC guidelines:
Age limit: Minimum 21 years old. No cap on maximum age.
Qualifying Exam: It is mandatory for the candidates to hold a bachelor degree (3 years duration)/master degree in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have passed the above-mentioned qualifying examination with at least 50 per cent marks. SC/ST candidates have the benefit of 5 per cent relaxation. Minimum qualifying examination marks for SC/ST is 40 per cent.
Reservation: 15 per cent seats reserved for SC, 7.5 per cent for ST, 27 per cent for OBC and 3 per cent seats reserved for PD.
If the candidates don't have the necessary documents supporting their claim of completion of Bachelor's Degree they can be removed from the process thereafter.
Candidates will then be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in KMAT. The scorecards of the candidates will be sent to the colleges
The selected candidates who have qualified in KMAT need to report to their respective college to secure admissions.
What after KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018?
Candidates who want to appear for the entrance exam had to fill the KMAT application form 2018 in online mode. Test takers of KMAT 2018 could complete the form in online mode only. To complete the KMAT registration, candidates had to make a payment of Rs. 800 towards the KMAT application fee. The payment could be in the form of Demand draft in favour of ‘KMAT 2018’ or could be paid online using debit/credit card.
