KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) prescribes the KMAT 2019 eligibility criteria. In order to appear for the exam, candidates must meet the KMAT eligibility criteria 2019. KMAT 2019 is a state-level entrance exam which will be held in the paper-pen mode in August 2019. According to the KMAT 2019 eligibility criteria, candidates must have a bachelor degree from a recognised university in Karnataka. There is no age bar to appear for the exam. Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a standardised state-level entrance examination for admission to post graduation in management such as MBA programmes offered by 170 B-schools of Karnataka.
KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2019
The eligibility criteria of KMAT 2019 is based on UGC guidelines:
Age limit: Minimum 21 years old. No cap on maximum age.
Qualifying Exam: It is compulsory for candidates to hold a bachelors degree ( minimum 3 years duration)/master degree in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have passed the above-mentioned qualifying examination with at least 50 per cent marks. SC/ST candidates have the benefit of 5 per cent relaxation. Minimum qualifying examination marks for SC/ST is 40 per cent.
Reservation: 15 per cent seats reserved for SC, 7.5 per cent for ST, 27 per cent for OBC and 3 per cent seats reserved for PD.
Without the possession of necessary documents supporting their claim of completion of Bachelor's Degree, candidates can be removed from the process thereafter.
Shortlisted candidates will then be called for selection process on the basis of their performance in KMAT. The scorecards of the candidates will be sent to the colleges
The selected candidates who have qualified in KMAT need to report to their respective college to secure admissions.
What after KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2019?
Candidates who want to appear for the entrance exam have to fill the KMAT application form 2019 in online mode. Test takers of KMAT 2019 can fill the form in online mode only. They also have to make a payment of Rs. 800 towards the KMAT application fee. The payment can be in the form of Demand draft in favour of ‘KMAT 2019’ or can also be paid online using debit/credit card.
