Karnataka PGCET MBAKarnataka PGCET MBA 2017: Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) is a standardised state level MBA entrance exam, conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Karnataka PGCET 2017 was held on July 2, 2017, from 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM. The hall ticket of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 was available from June 25. The application process had commenced from May 17, 2017 and ended on June 5, 2017. Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 allows business schools to screen candidates to MBA programme across Karnataka. Karnataka PGCET MBA is conducted once in a year for test takers who want to study MBA anywhere in the state. Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 is conducted in a paper-pencil format, which has to be completed in two hours duration. The MBA entrance exam comprises multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) for 100 marks total. The purpose of the Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 is for determining the eligibility of candidates to full-time MBA programme in Government and Private institutes in Karnataka. Karnataka PGCET MBA Answer Key 2017


The provisional answer key of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 is available from July 13, 2017. Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the answer key of the MBA entrance exam. The best part of the Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 answer key- candidates/ parents/ lecturers can file their objections on or before  July 17, 2017 before 5:30 pm. However, before doing that they have to support their objection with supporting evidence and documents. Objections without any justification will not be entertained.


Karnataka PGCET MBA Result 2017


Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)- the conducting body, will declare the result of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 in third/ fourth week of July, 2017. The result of the entrance exam will be made available in the form of ranks. Once the results are out, a merit list will be prepared based on which selected candidates will be called for the next round of counselling/ seat allotment.


Karnataka PGCET MBA Merit List 2017


After the result of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 will be announced, KEA the conducting body of PGCET MBA will release a merit list. The Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 merit list will be based on the basis of marks scored by candidates in the exam. The marks obtained in the qualifying exam is considered only for eligibility. Therefore, candidates are advised to attend the PGCET MBA counselling only when they have met the score requirement.


Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling/Seat Allotment 2017



The counselling for Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 is likely to be held in August 2017 after the results are declared. Based on the performance of candidates in the Karnataka PGECT MBA 2017, the merit list will be prepared and published. Candidates who meet the required marks will be allowed to participate in the counselling round.


Karnataka PGCET MBA Hall Ticket 2017


The admit card or the hall ticket of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 was available for candidates who have registered for the entrance exam. The hall ticket was available from June 25, 2017. Registered candidates could download their admit cards or hall tickets of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 by entering their application number and Date of Birth (DOB).


Karnataka PGCET MBA Exam Pattern 2017


The exam pattern of Karnataka MBA PGCET 2017 comprises of MCQs which has to be completed in the given duration. The question paper of the entrance exam will have four different versions. And each question will come with four options to choose from. The right response will carry one mark. The exam comprises four sections and each section is worth 25 marks, making the entire Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 of 100 marks.

Marking scheme of Karnataka PGCET MBA: The marking scheme of PGCET MBA 2017 is very simple. Each correct response will be awarded 1 marks. The best part of the entrance exam is that there is no negative marks for incorrect answers.


Karnataka PGCET MBA Eligibility Criteria 2017


Karnataka Examinations Authority prescribes the eligibility criteria of Karnataka PGCET MBA  2017. The criteria are mentioned below:

  • A bachelor’s degree of minimum three years from a recognised university

  • Minimum 50% in all all subjects

  • While for SC/ST & Category-I the minimum is 45% marks

Karnataka PGCET MBA Application Form 2017


The application form for Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 was available only in online mode. The application form was available from May 17, 2017. Whereas, the deadline to fill the application form was June 5, 2017. The last date to pay the application fee was June 5, 2017. Earlier, the application deadline was June 1 which had been extended till June 5. Test takers had to first make sure they were eligible to take the test. While filling the application form of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017, detailed such as applicant’s personal, academic, contact information and more had to be mentioned in the form.


Once the application form was complete, candidates had retain few documents with them as a reference for future. Documents such as printouts of the application form, evidence of fee payment and copies of photo ID uploaded on the online application.


Application Fee: Candidates from General and OBC category, the application fee was Rs. 650, while for SC/ST and Category-I, the application fee was Rs. 500.
