Candidates who are preparing to attempt this year’s BUMAT examination must adhere to the tips below to ensure high marks in the exam.
Read the BUMAT exam pattern and syllabus before beginning your preparation. Aspirants should know how many questions each section contains, the time available, and the marking scheme. This helps you divide your study time according to the sectional weightage and prevents time wastage on less important topics.
As per the BUMAT question paper, most of the Numerical Aptitude questions are asked from the basics of Maths, and hence, it is essential to have a good grip on percentages, profit and loss, averages, ratio and proportion, algebra, and data interpretation. Experts suggest preparing a BUMAT formula chart and revising the same to clear difficult concepts.
It is essential for candidates to develop the habit of reading English newspapers or editorials for at least twenty to thirty minutes every day. While you read, make sure to note down all challenging words, and go through the meanings of these words consistently. This will help you with the vocabulary section of the BUMAT exam, as well as enable you to read faster.
Solve puzzles, seating arrangements, coding-decoding, blood relations, syllogisms, and series questions daily. Your approach should be to start with easy questions and gradually move to difficult ones.
Attempt BUMAT mock tests on a weekly basis. Review every incorrect and skipped question after you complete a test. Identify whether the mistake happened because of weak concepts and work on those areas before taking the next mock test.
BUMAT is a highly competitive examination; therefore, candidates must study with at least 2 to 3 books to ensure success in the exam. These books not only provide conceptual clarity but also provide practice questions relevant to the examination. Get the complete BUMAT book list 2027 in the section below.
