Here are JIPMAT study tips which will be useful during the initial phase of the preparation for JIPMAT 2027.
Break down the syllabus: Divide the syllabus into smaller parts, and concentrate on building the foundation first.
Topic-wise test: After completing each topic, take at least 2-3 tests from that section to check if you are sticking to any problems or not.
Long-term goal: The long-term goal should be completing the syllabus thoroughly and attempting 3 to 4 full-length mock tests every week during the last month's preparation.
Set yourself a score: After every mock test, set your target for the next test increasing 5% of the recent score.
In timed-based exams, time management skills are very important to achieve higher scores.
Here are some benefits of time management during JIPMAT exam preparation.
Divide the syllabus into smaller topics and allocate the right amount of time for each subject. This will ensure that no topic is being neglected.
During mock tests, do not take too much time on complex questions. Search for alternative methods or tricks to solve them quickly. If those questions still take too much time, then skip them.
Time management helps in dividing your study hours between strengthening weak areas and revising strong sections.
This is an effective study plan that students can use during their preparation.
Before creating a study plan for the JIPMAT, do a SWOT analysis and identify your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in every specific section.
As per the SWOT analysis, create a routine focusing more on challenging areas but also do not ignore strong and maximum scoring topics.
Improve your English language skills, especially the vocabulary section to score high in that section.
Daily practice 2-3 hours for various types of mathematics questions especially arithmetic, algebra, and geometry sections.
Allocate daily 1.5-2 hours to practice different types of DI and logical reasoning questions and make you familiar with all the types of questions.
Practice an adequate amount of mock tests to sharpen your skills.

Mock tests are a very good way to revise topics. Take full-length mock tests on alternate days of the week and work on the weaker areas on the other day.
Do not overburden yourself with too many mock tests without adequate time. Analyze the results and work on them first. Then take another test.
Here are some proven JIPMAT tips and tricks which will help you during the exam.
Familiarize yourself with the important topics and practice them regularly.
Take 3-4 mock tests every week and review their solutions.
In the verbal ability section, increase your reading speed and vocabulary.
Revise key topics and the areas you still need to improve.
Practice previous year’s papers to understand the recruiting patterns of the questions.
Test the shortcut methods and tricks in practice tests.
Sharpen your mental calculation skills.
Allocate time for every section in a day for revision.
Students often do not read the full questions and start calculating after reading one or two lines. This leads to misinterpretation of the question, and wrong answers are derived from the calculation.
Do not get stuck on one question and waste time. If the question is difficult or lengthy, skip the question and return to it at the end of the exam if time permits.
Some students overcomplicate a simple solution and get confused. This often leads to a wrong answer and a waste of important time.
Students often do not use shortcuts and tricks during exams and follow long calculations to be sure about the answers. Trust your instincts and preparation. Using accurate shortcuts and tricks will always save valuable time during the exam.
Revision at the end of the exam is always necessary. Most of the students do not check 2nd time and miss if there are any calculation errors.
Use approximation and rounding-off numbers techniques if possible to avoid long calculations. This is an efficient way to save time.
Structured study plan: Create a proper study plan allocating time for each subject and topic based on their weightage.
Understanding exam pattern: Review previous year's papers to understand the exam pattern, difficulty of the questions, and most common topics. Study and practice them accordingly.
Conceptual learning: Focus on understanding the basic concepts and then gradually increase the difficulty level.
Mental calculation: Sharpen mental calculation, Vedic math, and necessary mathematics formulas to solve the questions quickly.
Mock tests: Regular practice of mock tests will increase the speed and accuracy. Revise the weak areas and practice them topic-wise.
Join study groups: Join online communities, and forums to discuss different topics and exchange materials.
