Every year, around 3 lakh candidates appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to get admissions in the top B-schools in India. However, CAT 2026 is not the only option for candidates looking for MBA Admission 2027 . There are many other MBA 2026 exams held in India on a national level such as Xavier's Aptitude Test (XAT), NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT), Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) et cetera. Applying for at least 2 or more than 2 MBA exams 2026 is generally considered as the best approach as it allows the candidates to expand their options while choosing the best MBA 2027 college as per their goal. These national MBA 2026 exams will take place between November 2026 and January 2027 and will have different dates. Candidates are thereby advised to keep tracking all the dates and websites related to these MBA exams so that they never miss any deadline and plan their schedule accordingly. In this article, we will talk about the major MBA exams in India other than CAT which the candidates can take as well.
CAT 2026 is scheduled for November 29, 2026. Once the CAT exam is concluded, candidates can appear for the other exams as well like SNAP, NMAT, MICAT and XAT. Even though the NMAT can be taken before CAT, the window still remains open after CAT as well. SNAP can also be taken during November-December whereas the XAT exam can be taken in January next year. Candidates who have shortlisted MBA colleges like XLRI, SIBM, NMIMS, MICA etc can appear for these MBA exams once they’ve taken CAT 2026.
Also, In case a candidate doesn’t score well in CAT, he/she will have multiple other exams to appear for.
