CAT 2020 Dress Code - Key Points to Remember
Check all the following instructions which one need to be followed on the day of the exam. It will consist of what to wear and what to not. It is expected that in the wake of COVID 19 IIM Indore will alter the CAT dress code 2020. If you are not followed the CAT 2020 dress code, then you are not permitted to the examination centre. Provided instructions will get altered as exam guidelines and instructions are released by the authorities.

Footwear not allowed in the exam hall
As per the CAT 2020 dress code, candidates have to enter the examination hall without footwear. Though they are free to wear footwear on their way to the exam centre but after reaching the centre, they have to remove their shoes or sandals outside the exam hall. As per the details mentioned on the CAT admit card, wearing shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons is not allowed.
Clothes having pockets are not allowed
According to the CAT dress code 2020, candidates can wear any type of dress that has no pockets attached. Candidates can wear any type of shirt, t-shirt, trousers or whatever they are comfortable in but they have to make sure that their clothes are not having any pockets otherwise they will not be permitted to the examination hall.

Jewellery, metal or ornaments are strictly prohibited
At the CAT 2020 exam centre, candidates have to make sure that they are not wearing any jewellery or carrying any metal with them. Candidates have to avoid wearing earrings, nose pins, necklaces, anklets, bangles or any other metallic ornaments.
Unnatural marks and heavy make-up looks are prohibited
Any type of unnatural marks, Mehandi or tattoo on the body of the candidates would lead to their disqualification of taking the exams. Also, students have to appear for the exam with their simple and natural look and the heavy make-up look is also strictly prohibited. For girls, it is required to keep a simple hairstyle or they can refer to a simple ponytail or braid. For boys, if they have uploaded their photo without a beard then they should make sure to appear on the exam day with the same look.
Mobile phones and bags are not allowed
The candidates are not allowed to carry mobile phones or any electronic gadgets like calculators, smartwatches, etc, and bags to the exam hall as well. In case they are carrying any of the prohibited items, they have to submit it to the test centre staff outside the exam hall.
Guidelines that needed to be followed on the day of CAT 2020 due to COVID 19 pandemic
Due to COVID 19 pandemic, authorities will issue the following guidelines that one needs to follow on the exam day. In that, first, the aspirants need to follow the proper CAT 2020 dress code, then follow the rest of things. But without following the CAT guidelines, the students will not be permitted to appear in the examination.
Sanitisation of the test centre
Under the National Disinfection Programme, it is mandatory to sanitize the whole exam premises a few days before the exam. If a particular institution which was used for the purpose of quarantine centres, they must be completely sanitized at the earliest.
Face masks are necessary
Taking into account the current situation of the coronavirus outbreak, the authority has introduced a change in the rules related to the dress code of CAT 2020. On the exam day, the candidates have to wear face masks to avoid any corona infection. For safety purposes, candidates must adhere to this instruction. Without a mask, their entry to the exam hall could be restricted.
Sanitise your hand before taking CAT 2020
The authorities will keep the sanitizer for the candidates which they need to use before taking the CAT 2020. During the exam and on the premises, one will have to follow the guidelines related to social distancing.
CAT 2020 Exam Day Guidelines
The candidates who are all going to appear in the CAT 2020, should follow some exam day guidelines and proper CAT dress code 2020. If you ready in advance, it will reduce your mental pressure. We advised to all aspirant who going to appear in the CAT exam 2020 while leaving from your home follows the CAT 2020 dress code by prior.
- One will have to reach the CAT 2020 test centre by 7:30 AM for the morning session.
Candidates are advised to visit the CAT 2020 test centre at least one day in advance by following the google map link which is embedded in the CAT 2020 admit card
Candidates will be required to carry two printed copies of CAT 2020 admit card on an A4 size sheet
Candidates will have to show the CAT 2020 admit card to the invigilator at the time of the test
Writing pad for rough work and pen will be given to the candidates at the exam centre and they will have to return it before leaving the examination hall
Appearing twice for CAT 2020 will leads to disqualification and the candidature will get cancelled
Friends, guardian and relatives will not be allowed to enter inside the examination centre
Any request to change the CAT 2020 exam centre will not be entertained

my sister have completed 10th gradeand she want to persuer MBA through CAT and unfortunately she dont like chemistry , what courses does she need to take now to become MBA?
First tell you sister to pursue an Undergraduate Degree after 12th be it B.Sc./BBA/B.Tech/BCA/MBBS/B.Com/BMS/BA or whatever she's interested in. Preferably an Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Commerce degree will help her, since shell ultimately pursue MBA.
In the Final Year of her graduation ask her to appear for CAT followed by MBA, or she may have a short 1-2 year Work Experience followed by MBA in some of Best Management Institutions in India.

Basically 1 Indian Institute of Management each year conduct common admission test or CAT examination to provide admission in in IIMs and top business schools.the basic eligibility criteria for this examination is that you should have minimum 50% marks for general category in your graduation level. There are also some other Eligibility criteria s .
however they initially you are completely eligible for this examination.

As as your 10th and 12th marks are below 60% which can affect in interviews. However if you somehow managed to to get admission in those colleges, you might have a problem in placement time.
But but don't worry if you think that you can do you better in your life and believe that past is past don't do that again.

hello i have completed 12th as well as diploma and i have got admission in my ug on the basis of diploma marks and they are good as compare to my 12th marks so which marks should i feel for cat examination
See if you have good performance in Diploma which is considered as equivalent to 12th than you should go with diploma details while filling your CAT application form. The reason being is, in CAT application you have option to fill either class 12th details or diploma details so if you have completed diploma then you can opt for diploma in the CAT application form.

Common Admission Test, in short CAT is conducted by any of the IIM in rotation every year , it is a computer-based entrance exam conducted for MBA/PGDM admissions at 20 IIMs and 1000+ B-Schools in India.
As per the new paper pattern the paper is of total 228 marks and it will consists of 76 total number of questions divided in three sections namely VARC, DILR and QA. Out of these 76 questions, 54 question will be of MCQ type and other 22 will be Non-MCQ. For every correct answer 3 marks will be awarded and on incorrect answer -1 will be deducted only from MCQs not from Non-MCQs. For CAT 2021 no exact dates are out yet but it is expected that the application process for it will start in the month of August '21 and the tentative exam date is November 28th 2021.

I would like to tell you that your academic profile is good as you have 12 years of work experience but age criteria is also important factor and type of work you did. Your marks in 12th and graudation are not very good so you need to get atleast above 95percentile to get a call from baby IIMs like iim ranchi and shillong
