The CAT exam cities 2026 list has been released along with the CAT 2026 notification, which was released on July 25, 2026. IIM Indore has listed around 170 CAT test cities across the country. This year, Maharashtra saw the most additions with 8 new CAT 2026 exam cities added, followed by Andhra Pradesh and Kerala adding 5 cities. While Haryana dropped CAT exam cities of Rohtak, Panipat, and Sonipat, and Karnataka dropped Vijayapura from the CAT 2026 exam centre list. How to Choose CAT Exam Cities 2026?
Candidates appearing for the CAT 2026 exam for MBA are advised to choose a CAT 2026 city near their home to avoid unnecessary travel and stress before the exam. Students can check the general points to select the CAT 2026 test city in the following points.
Candidates will be required to choose 5 CAT exam cities from the list of CAT test cities 2026.
Students must fill out the CAT 2026 cities in order of preference, preferably based on the proximity to their home.
The candidates will be allotted a CAT exam centre based on the availability of those CAT cities 2026.
If candidates are not allotted their first preference, then they will be given the next CAT 2026 exam centre in their preference list.

The CAT exam centre and test centre code have not yet been released by IIM Indore. This year, the CAT 2026 exam will be held in 170 cities with new additions and drops as compared to the previous year. The CAT test centre code and CAT exam centre will be mentioned on the CAT 2026 admit card to be released on November 04, 2026.

CAT 2026 Exam City in Delhi Reorganised
Previously, the Delhi-NCR included Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida test centres as well; however, this year, IIM Indore has reorganised the Delhi test cities and included them in separate state-wise categories. Gurugram has been included in Haryana, Ghaziabad and Noida in Uttar Pradesh, while New Delhi is in Delhi.

Which CAT 2026 Exam Centres are Combined?
The CAT exam centres of Hubli and Dharwad in Karnataka have been consolidated into Hubli-Dharwad for the CAT 2026 exam. Similarly, Asansol and Durgapur are also converted into one CAT test city of Asansol-Durgapur. Candidates living in any of the CAT 2026 test cities are advised to select a combined CAT exam centre under their preferred test city.
