Pre-Exam Reaction (May 14)

On the second day of the TS ICET 2026 exam, we interviewed a girl from Jangoan named Sujatha. Sujatha completed her bachelor's in BBA in 2024 and appeared in national-level exams like CAT, XAT, and MAT before. This year, she is targeting multiple state exams. Her preparation journey was quite a roller-coaster ride for her as she switched between the requirements of accuracy, time management, speed, and analysis. She stressed the relevance of the TS ICET syllabus and mock tests for clearing this exam.

We interviewed another candidate named Mithran from Khammam. Mithran said he is good at mathematics and English, and did not face any major issues during his preparation journey for the TS ICET exam. According to him, he will score in the range of 160-170 marks easily and will get into Osmania University for an MBA in Business Analytics. He is eager to check the ICET key release date 2026 after the exam.

After the conclusion of the TS ICET exam, we interviewed a girl named Nayanthara from Baswapur, asking how her exam was. According to her, the TS ICET exam was overall easy to moderate, with the communication ability section time-consuming yet easy. She faced some challenges in solving a couple of questions in the Mathematical Ability section, but overall, the exam was quite good, and she is expecting a score in the range of 110-130 marks in the TS ICET exam.

Gautham from Madhya Pradesh is a non-local who is targeting state exams after the CAT 2025 result. He appeared in AP ICET, MAH MBA CET, and now the TS ICET exam for MBA admission 2026. According to him, the TS ICET question paper was easy, and he is confident of selection this year. He is expected to score at least 70 marks out of 75 in Mathematical Ability and 60 marks out of 75, and a bit lower in communication ability. However, there are strong chances of selection this year.

Candidate belonging to Turkapally, Madhavan, discussed how he appeared in AP ICET and is now here to attempt the TS ICET 2026 exam with a strategy in mind. He stressed more on giving enough TS ICET mock tests and post-mock test analysis for better results. Moreover, he also discussed how he memorised important formulas and short tricks for the Mathematical Ability section. His strategy to attempt the exam is to complete the mathematics questions before turning to other sections.

Another candidate named Akshara, who is in her final year of B.Com right now, is appearing for the TS ICET exam for the first time. Her area of interest is an MBA in Finance, and targeting the JNTU School of Management this year. Though she did not share the exam strategy, she walked us through her preparation journey. Her stronghold is Mathematics and Logical Reasoning, so she focused more on communication ability during her preparation days. She used to read newspapers to find relevant vocabulary and English practice puzzles for the exam.

We interviewed Karthik, who is from Jameelpet, about the TS ICET 2026 exam. According to him, the computer section and paragraph questions were very easy. However, he faced some difficulty with questions related to Mensuration and Algebra. As per his TS ICET attempt, the Mathematical Ability was overall tough, while the other two sections were easy to moderate in difficulty.

Adithyam from Kondapur labelled the TS ICET exam centre in Keesara very strict. According to his experience, the computer section was very basic; it had class 12 level questions. In the Analytical Ability section, questions related to number series and alphabet series were asked. Moreover, he found the Analytical Ability section easy to moderate in difficulty and the Communication Ability section a bit easier than the previous year.

Rohan from Shamirpet gave us insights into his preparation journey and strategy for the exam. He is targeting Osmania University for an MBA in Business Analytics for this year. Previously, Rohan appeared in the CAT 2025 exam but did not make it through, so now appearing for the TS ICET exam. During his preparation, he found Communication Ability a bit challenging due to reading comprehension and vocabulary. For this year's TS ICET exam, Rohan will try to focus more on Mathematical Ability and Analytical Ability, following his background in Commerce.

Next, we interviewed Shreya from Jainpalle, quite far from the TS ICET exam centre of Keesara. However, Shreya mentioned that she filled out the TS ICET application form late, so the nearby TS ICET exam centre options were fewer. Coming to the preference, Shreya is aiming for CMR Institute of Technology, and is a bit dicey between MBA in HRM and MBA in Business Analytics. During her preparation journey, she found Mathematical Ability challenging, and gave 15-20 mock tests to improve her scores. Her exam strategy is to leave difficult Mathematical questions to save time in the exam.
