Due to these reasons, they constantly struggle finding the best program for themselves and keep on wondering if MBA will be a right option for them or not. Hence, this article will be answering all your queries and will act as a helping hand in concluding your decision.

MBA After CS: A Good choice?

Considering all the factual information regarding MBA and CS, Masters of Business Administration really won’t be a very good option to choose after CS and the reason behind this statement is that in Company secretary they focus more on legal compliance skills and in MBA managerial skills are given more attention. They both somehow contradict each other and do not go hand in hand but LLB after CS seems to be a deadly combination altogether as it provides better understanding of law overall and judicial bodies required in CS.

In contrast to this, if a student has immense interest in developing business and management skills or visions to start his or her venture can definitely take MBA into account. He/she can refer MBA in Corporate communication.

Why not MBA after CS?

  • Completely different fields - CS and MBA are two completely different domains. While the Company secretary course focuses on corporate laws, securities laws & capital market, on the other hand MBA deals with organisational behaviour, planning, business strategy, leadership, and the more human aspects of managing a small or large company. They both are in contrast with each other and does not fit well altogether.
  • Expensive MBA Fee - MBA being the most expensive course in India is not affordable by all sections of society which is a biggest turn off for the students. There are only a few recognised MBA offering institutions that provide good packages, rest are just waste of time and money.
  • No common subjects - CS and MBA do not have a single subject in common, both of them deal in distinct areas thus becoming entirely different.

What after CS: If Not MBA

Students can consider LLB as an option as CS has vast coverage of Law and LLB deals with Law only, they both together make a good combination. Pursuing LLB can offer several benefits-

  • Strengthens Legal Knowledge - LLB degree provides vast knowledge about rules, regulations and laws which can be highly beneficial for the roles of company secretary which deals with the legal aspects of corporate governance and regulatory matters.
  • Subject Similarity - Students with CS background will definitely go for the Corporate law field of LLB which includes more or less the same topics and subjects regarding the company laws and acts. It will also help the students to pass the LLB exams very easily as they are already familiar with some of the topics while doing CS.
  • Career Opportunities - CS and LLB together open up a lot of career options in front of the students including corporate lawyer, compliance officer, general counsel, legal consultant and law firm associates with good annual packages.

Hello,

  • SIMSREE, Mumbai – Fee around Rs. 1.3–1.4 lakh for 2 years. Accepts CAT, CMAT, MAH-CET, MAT, ATMA. Cutoff is very high, usually 99+ percentile in CAT/CMAT.

  • PUMBA (Dept. of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University) – Fee around Rs. 1.2–1.3 lakh. Accepts CAT, CMAT, MAH-CET, ATMA. Cutoff approx. 75+ percentile in CAT, 90–95+ percentile in CMAT, high scores in MAH-CET.

  • TISS, Mumbai (MA HRM & other management-related programmes) – Fee around Rs. 1.7–1.9 lakh. Accepts CAT for some courses. Qualifying cutoff is around 60–70 percentile, but final selection cutoffs are higher.

These are the main government institutes where the full MBA/PG programme fee is within Rs. 2 lakh. Cutoffs vary slightly each year and by category, but SIMSREE and PUMBA generally need high scores, while TISS has its own process along with CAT shortlisting.

Hope it helps !

Hey! With a NEET score of 344 in the ST category, it is highly unlikely to get admission in any government BDS college in Delhi through the All India Quota. The cutoff for government BDS seats in Delhi usually falls around 400–450 for ST category, so your score is below that range.

You can consider private dental colleges, state quota seats in other states, or reattempt NEET next year to improve your chances.

Hello dear candidate,

YES, with NEET score 344in the ST category you have high chances of getting admission in a BDS College in J&K through JKBOPEE counselling.

check the seat availability and next participate in JKBOPEE Counselling with all the necessary documents.

Thank you.
