The final MBA admission offer letter is given to those candidates who scored good marks in all the below-mentioned parameters. Work Experience | Extra points (from 1–5) are given to candidates with work experience. For this, a range is defined from lowest to highest. The points for IIM work experience vary for each campus. |
CAT exam or Common Admission Test is the widely accepted MBA entrance exam conducted by IIMs in India. A CAT score is required to apply for the MBA/PGP/PGDM programmes offered at the top MBA colleges in India/IIMs. All the IIMs release their admission policy mentioning the eligibility requirements to apply for the course, sectional and category-wise CAT weightage. Applicants who meet the CAT cut off marks as per the admission policy will be shortlisted by IIMs and other top MBA colleges to attend the further rounds of the MBA admission process. The final MBA admission offer letter is issued to those candidates who attained a good composite score in above mentioned criteria. The confirmation of the MBA seat will happen only after the payment of MBA fees and document verification.

The CAT 2024 cut off required to be shortlisted by the IIMs for MBA admission comes in a range of 95 to 100 percentile.
