CAT exam or Common Admission Test is the widely accepted MBA entrance exam conducted by IIMs in India. A CAT score is required to apply for the MBA/PGP/PGDM programmes offered at the top MBA colleges in India/IIMs. All the IIMs release their admission policy mentioning the eligibility requirements to apply for the course, sectional and category-wise CAT weightage. Applicants who meet the CAT cut off marks as per the admission policy will be shortlisted by IIMs and other top MBA colleges to attend the further rounds of the MBA admission process. The final MBA admission offer letter is issued to those candidates who attained a good composite score in above mentioned criteria.
