IIM CAP Colleges 2025-27: The MBA seats at the 8 IIMs are filled through the IIM CAP round. To attend the IIM CAP counselling round, candidates must fulfill the overall and sectional-wise percentile in the CAT exam. The minimum cutoff required to appear for the IIM CAP college admission process is 95 for the general category and 81 for the OBC/EWS category. IIM CAP 2025 is conducted by IIM Bodh Gaya. IIM CAP 2025 was held from February 17, 2025, to March 22, 2025. IIM Raipur and IIM Sambalpur exited from the CAP counselling round 2025. The IIM CAP round is considered to be a single selection process for MBA/PGP/PGDM admission to both new and old IIMs. By conducting the IIM CAP round, there will be uniformity in the 10 IIM CAP colleges selection process. The IIM CAP round is an interview round without any additional written tests or GD rounds.
Follow the steps below to complete the IIM CAP registration 2025:
Step 1: Visit the IIM CAP conducting institute's official website.
Step 2: Click on the “IIM CAP 2025” link.
Step 3: Create an account in the IIM CAP registration portal.
Step 4: Enter the IIM CAP login—CAT registration ID, password, and captcha code—by using the link shared via the registered email ID.
Step 5: After IIM CAP login, fill out the IIM CAP application form and upload the required documents.
Step 6: Click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the IIM CAP registration.

Step 1 - Release of IIM CAP colleges shortlist
Step 2 - IIM CAP participating colleges will send the shortlist to the CAP 2025 Coordinator
Step 3 - CAP conducting IIM prepares a final merit list and sent to the selected candidates for the IIM CAP PI round with venue, date and time.
Step 4 - Attend the IIM CAP round in online mode or offline mode
Step 5 - After the completion of the IIM CAP round, the CAP conducting IIM will give the PI score to all IIM CAP colleges.
Step 6 - IIM CAP result 2025 will be released by all IIM CAP colleges on its official websites the first week of May 2025. The IIM CAP results are released in the form of an IIM CAP merit list, or candidates will get their IIM CAP results to their registered email ID.

As of the CAT 2024 exam for the MBA class of 2025-2027 at IIM Mumbai, the NC-OBC (Non-Creamy Other Backward Classes) category requires an overall percentile of 75.
It is essential to understand that these are the minimal qualifying percentiles required to go to the next level, the Personal Interview (PI). The actual cutoffs for receiving a PI call may be much higher, depending on the number of candidates, their profiles, and IIM Mumbai's special admission requirements for the year.
A higher score will considerably improve your chances of being shortlisted for the PI process.
