CAT 2025 Exam Important Instructions
Candidates are advised to go through the CAT 2025 exam instructions before appearing for the CAT 2025 exam for a smooth transaction of the exam without any inconvenience. The following points highlight the CAT 2025 exam instructions for the CAT exam day.
Candidates are required to print the CAT 2025 admit card on A4-size paper and affix the same passport-size photograph as used in the CAT 2025 application process.
Carry a valid ID proof to the CAT 2025 exam centre. The government-issued ID proof includes the Aadhar card, PAN card, Driving license, Voter ID, Passport, Ration card, E-aadhar, etc.
Candidates are advised to arrive at the CAT 2025 exam centre before the scheduled gate closing time since late entry is strictly prohibited.
Candidates must visit the CAT 2025 test centre one day before the exam to avoid hassle on the CAT exam day. In addition to this, students must note that there is no provision for an exam centre after the release of the CAT 2025 admit card.
Phone, gadgets, smart watches, stationery, or jewellery are not allowed inside the CAT exam hall. However, candidates are provided with pens and sheets for rough work by the staff.
Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the CAT 2025 exam. Moreover, parents are not allowed inside the CAT exam centre.
Candidates are required to arrange their own commute and accommodation for the CAT 2025 exam.

If you filled the UGC NET form under EWS but you don’t have a valid EWS certificate, then forget using the EWS category. They won’t accept it. You’ll automatically be treated as General category during document verification.
And no, this won’t make your form “invalid” or “illegal.” It just means you won’t get the EWS benefit.
So yes — you can still go for General category posts and Professor recruitment. Just don’t try to submit a fake/invalid certificate; that will get you disqualified.
