The XAT exam is a maximum of 95 marks divided into four sections of Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.   • Candidates are awarded 1 mark for each correct answer.

  • 0.25 marks to be deducted for choosing each incorrect answer.

  • 0.10 marks to be deducted for leaving consecutive 8 questions unattempted.

  • Candidates will be awarded marks in proportion to correct answers in the XAT 2026 examination.

Candidates who appeared in the XAT 2026 exam concluded on January 4, 2026, can calculate their XAT percentile using the XAT percentile calculation formula. Candidates can calculate the XAT percentile through the following step-by-step process mentioned below.

Step 1: Calculate the total number of candidates, let’s say N, who may appear in the XAT 2026 exam conducted in two shifts.

Step 2: Now, provide a ranking to all the candidates, assume r, based on the scores attained in Verbal and Logical Ability, for example.

Step 3: Calculate the percentile (P) with rankings based on the scores in the Verbal and Logical Ability.

XAT Percentile = [(N- Rank) / N] X 100

Step 4: In the end, round off the overall percentile to a maximum of two decimal points. For instance, an XAT percentile score of 98.9899 will be rounded off to 99 percentile.
