MAH MBA CET 2026 Controversies: The declaration of the MAH CET MBA 2026 result as well as release of the MAH MBA CET 2026 toppers list has triggered a major debate and speculations around the MAH CET MBA 2026. These speculations ranged from question papers being leaked to the MAH CET normalisation process to around 70% of the MAH CET MBA toppers are from a single region-Vidabha. The question regarding MAH CET normalisation process got so intensified that across Reddit communities dedicated to MBA CET and CAT preparation, students compared scorecards, shared raw marks, and tried to understand whether the MAH CET MBA normalization process worked as intended. As discussions intensified online demanding greater transparency from the Maharashtra CET Cell.
70% of the State MAH MBA CET Toppers are Majorly from the Vidarbha Regions : Put doubts among the Aspirans
This year for the first time MAH MBA CET was conducted in two phases- in April and in May. While 1.16 Lakh candidates appeared for the MAH MBA CET first phase, around 41 thousand candidates appeared for the 2nd phase. Now out of these around 1.5 Lakhs of candidates 12 candidates scored perfect 100 percentile as per the MAH CET MBA 2026 toppers list, including both the shifts. First of all lets look at the MAH MBA CET toppers list from the table below :
MAH CET MBA 2026 | Name of MAH CET MBA Candidate | MAH MBA 2026 Percentile | Gender | Permanent District |
1st attempt | Sahil BalaSaheb Gajare | 100 | Male | Nashik |
Parth Satish Malsaria | 100 | Male | Nagpur |
Naman Agarwal | 100 | Male | Nagpur |
Yashodhara Raje Rathod | 100 | Female | Nagpur |
Shashank Chandrahas Prabhu | 100 | Male | Mumbai |

As evident from the table above, there are 12 MAH CET MBA 2026 toppers including both the attempts. Out of these 12 candidates, 2 are from outside Maharashtra. Among the rest of the 10 MAH-state category candidates who scored 100 percentiles, 7 candidates are from the Vidarbha region. This accumulation of majority of the MAH CET MBA toppers in a single region, made candidates suspicious about the MAH CET MBA 2026.
Question about the MAH CET MBA 2026 normalisation
After the 2nd slot of MAH CET MBA exam, it was discussed that the MAH CET MBA slot were regarded as the easiest slot among the 7 slots across both MAH CET MBA phases. While candidates scoring around 140-150 marks which would have given them around 99 percentile marks in any other slots, the easy Slot 7 soared the MHA CET MBA score vs percentile .
However after the publication of the MAH CET MBA 2nd phase result, the MAH CET MBA slot 7 which was supposedly the easiest slot suffered a heavy blow due to the normalisation process.

MAH CET MBA Slot 7 Leak Claims
Even before the MAH CE MBA suspension about the Toppers list being clustered in a single region, the 2nd phase of MAH MBA CET 2026 drew attention for other reasons as well. After the conclusion of the MHT CET MBA exam on May 9, 2026, social media sites like X and Reddit were full of discussion about MHA CET MBA Slot 7 which was the last slot of the exam. There were two groups while one group were in favour of suspecting that the MAH MBA CET paper was leaked while other cancelled the entire suspicion.
Group A: The Paper was Leaked
Those who are supporting the paper leak claim have flagged the MBA CET slot 7 exam as being way easier than the other slots, as there were no puzzles in the logical reasoning section, and reading comprehension was direct and easy to solve, and it is naturally not possible for any exam authority to set such an easy exam.
Moreover the candidates have argued that the release of memory-based questions revealed the shallow truth of identical questions in the exam. Students confirmed that the questions in the MBA CET slot 7 were repeated and available before the exam was even conducted.

Group B: No Paper Leak
The other group of students believes that there is nothing like a paper leak. It is just a little misunderstanding and mismanagement as part of Maharashtra CET Cell, as the authority is conducting the MBA CET exam phase 2 for the first time.

JBIMS Admission In Exchange in Money
Apart from the questions about the credibility of the MAH CET MBA, Reddit users started to raise doubts about how fair the JBIMS admission process is. Known as the ‘CEO factory’, JBIMS MAH CET Cutoff 2025 is the highest among more than 300 MAH CET MBA colleges with 99.98- 99.99 percentile for the All India candidates this year as well. However, in several Reddit posts, users pointed out the possible scam rackets that are going on regarding JBIMS.
Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) does not have any management quota for its MMS course. Despite that fact, one of the posts, ‘rosefin110’ pointed out that someone connected them to offer help in getting admitted to JBIMS through the management quota. The said person is supposed to be running a consultancy firm in Pune.

One Reddit user, ‘Aryan_299’ said that he has been contacted by a person who asked him to only appear for the MHT CET MBA from a centre in Nagpur, assuring him about getting 99.9 percentile and a seat at JBIMS.
In the discussion, users rightly pointed out that these might be scams, and JBIMS doesn't admit management applicants through the management quota. This didn't bar others (sarcastically/ or maybe not) from questioning the JBIMS admission process through MAH CET CAP, arguing that one can get into a top management college like JBIMS by using unfair means.

Like earlier, some of the social media users hushed up the ‘theories’ by saying that those who have kind of proper information should visit the police, rather than talking about that on social media. A user named ‘Much_discussion 1490’ asked the users to become responsible citizens by providing information to MAH CET and the law enforcement authorities. ‘Enitre_Ad_4846’ also argued on similar lines by proposing, rather than ranting on the Reddit people, that they should approach the police.
Another point of argument is that this ‘hate’ which fills these popular conspiracy theory of rigged JBIMS selection process is because of the higher cutoff, less importance to academic marks and the smaller number of seats for the All India candidates the All India candidates. Out of the 120 JBIMS seats for their MMS courses, only 18 are allotted for the All India category students.
