What is IIM SAP 2025?

The shortlisting criteria for IIM SAP 2025 will release on January 2025. Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) 2025 is the final selection round for MBA admission in three baby IIMs, namely IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, and IIM Sirmaur. IIM SAP will consist of a personal interview round and will be conducted for the students who have not been shortlisted for the IIM CAP round.

These IIMs shortlist candidates for the SAP round with a lower CAT cut off than the CAP round. The admissions committee of SAP participating IIMs lowers the overall and section wise minimum CAT cut off to get the required number of candidates for all the applicants.

IIM CAP vs SAP

IIM SAP and CAP are somewhat similar, the difference between the two only depends on the IIM cutoff. IIMs publish cutoffs for all three sections- DILR, VARC, and QA separately for all categories of candidates.

Similarly, for IIM SAP 2025, the cutoff will be released for all sections, which is generally lower than IIM CAP. Both CAP and SAP include Written Ability Test and a Personal Interview.

Questions related to CAT

Have a question related to CAT ?

With a 98.55 percentile and rank of 22325 in JEE Main, your son has a reasonable chance of getting into a CSE or related branch at DTU (Delhi Technological University), especially if he's a Delhi region candidate.

DTU's CSE cutoff for general category candidates outside Delhi typically falls within the 10,000-12,000 rank range. A rank of 22325 might be a little high for CSE, but not impossible. It depends on the specific year's competition and seat availability.

You can predict the college here -:

Hello there,

With a CRL rank of 1,53,000 and an EWS rank of 23,000 , it might be challenging to get a seat in CVR College of Engineering (CVRCE) for B.Tech through JEE Mains in the B Category (management quota) based on the typical cutoffs.

However, here are some considerations:

  1. B Category (Management Quota) : Generally, management quota seats may have a higher cutoff compared to regular seats, but they are still often more flexible.

  2. Specific Branch : You might have better chances in less competitive branches compared to high-demand ones like CSE or ECE . Branches like Mechanical , Civil , or Electrical might have slightly lower cutoffs.

    Recommended Steps:

  • Check Previous Cutoffs : Look at the last year's cutoff trends for the EWS category in CVR College of Engineering.

  • Direct Admission or Management Quota : You can inquire about direct admission or management quota options if you're considering alternatives.

  • Counseling and Choice Filling : During the counseling process, you can list CVRCE as one of your preferences to see if any seat becomes available.

It's best to contact the college directly or check their official admission guidelines for more precise information regarding your rank and the available options.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank or percentile.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Thanks for the info! Let's break this down to see your chances in KCET Engineering :

Your Details:

  • KCET Score (Expected): 60–70 marks

  • Board Marks (PCM): 205 out of 300

  • Category: CAT-1 (reserved)

  • Exam: KCET 2025

  • Stream: Engineering (PCM)

KCET Rank Prediction:

  • With 60–70 marks in KCET and 205 in boards , your KCET engineering rank may fall roughly between 35,000 to 50,000 (approx, varies by year).

  • CAT-1 category gives you reservation benefit , which improves your chances significantly.

Colleges You Might Get (CSE or Other Branches):

CSE:

  • You might get CSE in:

    1. PES Mandya

    2. KSIT Bangalore

    3. AMC Engineering College

    4. Cambridge Institute of Technology

    5. RNSIT (maybe in later rounds)

Other Branches (more chances):

  • ECE, ME, Civil, IT in better colleges like:

    1. Dayananda Sagar College

    2. New Horizon College

    3. Acharya Institute

    4. Sapthagiri, SJBIT, etc.

Tips:

  1. Use option entry wisely during KCET counselling.

  2. List both CSE + other branches to improve chances.

  3. Keep track of mock allotments to adjust preferences.

Although, it's very unlikely that you will secure a seat in top ABM with CAT 67 percentile. Here's is a breakdown to your question:

· CAT Percentile vs. Score: A CAT score of 67 typically translates to a percentile in the range of 90-95 percentile based on the provided data from previous years. While this is a decent score overall, it falls short of the cutoffs for most top-tier ABM programs.

· Cutoffs for Top ABM Institutes:

  • IIM Lucknow: For their PGP-ABM program, the qualifying CAT cutoff for the general category is around 85 percentile . However, the actual cutoff for shortlisting for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) stages is likely to be higher.
  • IIM Ahmedabad: While they also offer an ABM program (PGP-FABM), their minimum qualifying CAT cutoff is around 80 percentile , but the final admission cutoffs are usually much higher, often in the 99+ percentile range for general candidates.
  • MANAGE (National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management): Their cutoff in CAT percentile has been around 70 for the general category in recent years. With a 67 percentile, you might have a slim chance here, but it's still competitive.
  • CCS NIAM (National Institute of Agricultural Marketing, Jaipur): They consider CAT scores with a significant weightage (30-51% in their selection criteria). While they don't explicitly state a cutoff, it's reasonable to assume it would be higher than 67 percentile for a good chance of admission.

· Overall Good CAT Score: Generally, a CAT percentile of 90 and above is considered a good score for securing admission to decent MBA programs in India. For top-tier institutes, a percentile of 95 and above is often preferred.

· MBA Colleges Accepting 60-70 Percentile: While there are MBA colleges that accept CAT scores in the 60-70 percentile range, these are generally not the top-ranked or most sought-after ABM programs. The focus of those lists is on general MBA programs, not specifically ABM.

While securing a seat in ABM can be tough, you can research about other colleges, consider other examinations, to improve your application profile.

Hello,

achieving a 99.99 pecentile in the CAT exam significantly enhances your prospects for admission to JBIMS, which evaluates candidates using an application rating(AR) score, which includes

-entrance exam score (CAT/MH-CET/CMAT) : 60% weightage

-Past Academic Record (PAR) : 15% weightage (https://cracku.in/colleges/jbims/admission-process/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

-Extra-curricular Activities/Work Experience : 20% weightage (https://jbims.edu/uploads/announcement/Revised_M_Sc__Finance_Admission_Procedure_Batch_2024-26.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

-Diversity (Academic/Gender): 5% weightage

while ahigh CAT percentile is crucial, a lower academic record may impact your overall AR score. Nonetheless, exceptional performance in other areas, such as entrance exams and extracurricular activities, can help offset weaker academic credentials. it's advisable to review JBIMS's detailed admission criteria and consider strengthening other aspects of your application to enhance your chances
