MBA aspirants aiming for IIM admission and other B-schools must register before CAT registration 2025 last date, September 13, 2025. Before registering for the CAT 2025 exam, candidates must ensure that they have a valid email ID and mobile number. Before filling out the CAT application forms, it is essential for all candidates to go through the CAT 2025 eligibility criteria, based on which they will be able to take the CAT 2025 exam.
Candidates should have completed their undergraduate degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 percent marks. While, for SC, ST and PwD candidates, the minimum required marks are 45%.
Students in their final year of study can also apply for the CAT 2025 exam but they will have to meet the eligibility criteria upon graduation.
The CAT registration process is one of the most important steps for a candidate. Therefore, all MBA aspirants must keep in mind the following steps before filling out the CAT application forms.
Step 1: Visit the official CAT 2025 website, iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: You will now need to click on ‘New Candidate Registration’ and will have to enter basic information such as your name, date of birth, nationality, phone number and email ID.
Step 3: After entering all the information, you will have to complete the Captcha and verify your registration with OTP which will be sent to you on your registered phone number.
Step 4: In the last step, you will have to pay the CAT application fee which will vary for SC,ST, PwD and General categories.

The following is the list of documents required for the CAT registration form for the upcoming CAT 2025 exam.
Class 10 and 12 marksheets
Bachelor’s degree/diploma or higher education (if any)
Work experience certificate (if applicable)
Scanned images of passport-size photo and signature. (Keep in mind that the photo should not be more than six months old and must have a white background).

Here are the CAT registration 2025 fees that all candidates appearing for the CAT 2025 exam will need to pay at the time of registration.

Aspirants must note that CAT exam fees will be a one-time payment and are non-refundable. After paying these fees, candidates will be able to apply to multiple IIMs.

Once the deadline for the CAT registration form is over, all candidates will be given a period for form correction. The CAT registration form window will be open for a specific time period. However, candidates will only be able to change the photograph, signature and test city preference.

Yes, CAT does allow candidates to use calculators but it is through an on-screen calculator which is provided during the CAT exam. Candidates will not be allowed to use physical calculators during the CAT 2025 exam.
Candidates aiming for an older IIM and in General category will require above 98% to get admission. Whereas, for other IIMs, the percentile range can vary from 94% to 97%, although some students can even get called at scores as low as 89% to 90%.
CAT 2025 registration will commence from August 1, 2025 at 9:45 AM and will conclude by September 13, 2025.

With a 60k rank, getting Category 1 at VIT is probably difficult, but you still have a decent chance of getting branches like ECE, EEE, or related courses in higher categories (Category 2–5) or at VIT Chennai, AP, or Bhopal campuses.

With a VITMEE rank around 575, getting VLSI at VIT Vellore in Category 1 can be a bit competitive, but there is still a possibility depending on counselling trends and seat availability. Category 2 chances are generally much better at this rank.
You may also have a good chance
For Cat-1 with 10-year Kannada medium quota, you should aim for around 350–450+ marks in NEET for safer chances in government colleges. Cutoff can change each year, but higher marks always improve your chances of getting a good seat.
