What is XAT Percentile?
A XAT percentile is a calculation of the percentage of candidates below a candidate on the rank/ merit list. For example, if a candidate gets a place in the 90 percentile, it indicates that 90 percent of the candidates competing with that candidate in the test scored less than him/her. In other words, the XAT percentile is a measure for classifying candidates based on their performance.
Therefore, those who have passed 90 percent or more in XAT refer to the first 10 percent of the candidates in the qualifying list. The protected percentile according to the marks obtained is the only indication of the candidate’s status. However, this does not state the exact marks scored in the test.

Step 2: Provide ranking (r) to all candidates appearing in XAT based on the measured score obtained in the Verbal and Logical Ability section.
Step 3: Calculate the percentile score (P) of the candidate with ranking (r) in the Verbal and Logical Ability section as follows:
Step 4: Now, round out a candidate's calculated percentile score (b) only up to two decimal points. For example, all percentile points that are greater than or equal to 89.995% are rounded to 90%.
Follow the same procedure for calculating the overall XAT percentile marks and the percentage marks for other sections.
