CAT 2017 Cutoff by Bulls Eye

 

In line with the previous years’ cutoffs, top B-schools are expected to have CAT cutoff of more than 95+ percentile. Usually, the cutoff for top IIMs is much higher than the other B-schools in the country. The experts at Bulls Eye will also take some factors into consideration while analysing the CAT 2017 including the previous years’ cutoffs. CAT 2017 – Sectional Analysis

The overall difficulty level was moderate to tough. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning was the toughest section followed by Verbal and Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Ability was the easiest section.

 

About CAT 2017

CAT 2017 was held in two slots – forenoon and afternoon. It was a three-hour long test with three sections namely Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). For each section, there was a sectional time limit of 60 minutes. The exam had a total of 100 questions to be solved in 180 minutes. Each correct answer gave three marks and one-third of the allotted marks were deducted for an incorrect answer. There was also be Non-MCQs and TITA (Type in the answer) questions which do not have negative marking for incorrect answer.

 

CAT 2017 Result

The result of CAT 2017 will be declared in the second week of January 2018. Some of the top IIMs have already released their cutoffs for the exam. Few IIMs have already released their admission criteria 2018-20 as well. Based on the CAT cutoffs, candidates will be shortlisted for the next rounds of the selection process that includes Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
