As mentioned above, to get admission in IIMs, each IIM releases its minimum required IIM sectional cut off 2025. It is mandatory for all students selected for further rounds to meet the minimum CAT cutoff. Eligible IIM CAT cut off will be released before CAT result is declared. The table given below shows category wise sectional CAT cut offs along with overall CAT percentile released by ABC IIMs for CAT 2024 exam.
Listed below are some of the key factors considered by IIMs for determining CAT cutoff.
1. Difficulty level of the question paper
This is one of the main reasons why CAT 2025 is so important. The greater the difficulty level of the CAT question paper, the cutoff will be lower, and vice-versa.
2. Number of Test Takers
The total number of candidates appearing in IIM CAT 2025 will have an impact on the CAT cutoff. This will have a direct relationship, i.e. higher CAT test-takers will lead to a higher IIM CAT cutoff, while lower CAT test-takers will have a lower CAT cutoff 2025.
3. Seat availability
The number of seats available at the respective IIMs is also affected by the CAT 2025 cut off. For example, if any IIM has limited seats, the published cutoff of CAT 2025 will be higher for selecting candidates.
4. The reputation of the Institute
Renowned institutes ranked under the NIRF Management Rankings will set their cut offs higher.
5. Last year's CAT cutoff trends
The CAT cut off for IIM is based on the previous year’s cut offs released by IIMs. The CAT 2025 cutoff maybe somewhere around past cutoff trends.

Also known as the IIM eligibility cut off for IIM shortlist cut off, these are the minimum marks a candidate must score, so he/ she will be eligible for an interview call from IIMs (WAT/ GD-PI round). | Also referred to as IIM call cut off, this is the minimum percentage score set by IIMs to select candidates for the WAT/ GD-PI round. |
Meeting the qualifying MBA admission cutoff does not mean that the candidate will be selected for the WAT/ GD-PI round. | Meeting the final CAT cut off 2025 does not mean that the candidate will be selected for admission. |
The qualifying IIM CAT cutoff is fixed before the CAT result announcement. | The final cutoff will be fixed after the CAT 2025 results are announced. |
Qualifying CAT Percentile for IIM is announced by each campus in the announcement of the admission criteria and selection process for that academic year. | The final IIM CAT cutoff 2025 has not been officially announced yet by any IIM or other top MBA institutes. |
Qualifying IIM cutoff 2025 is over the 90 percentile for all IIMs. | The final CAT cutoff will be 99+ percentile for all the best IIMs and 95+ percent for the new IIMs. |
The qualifying cutoff contains the CAT sectional cutoff marks and the overall cut off. | The final CAT 2025 cutoff contains a sectional cutoff in CAT and CAT percentile for IIM. |
The qualifying CAT cut off for SC is fixed. The CAT cut off for IIM for OBC/ General is high. | The final CAT cut off is fixed category-wise. For General category male students with engineering backgrounds, the final cut off is high as compared to reserved-category students, female students, and those with non-engineering backgrounds. |

Hey! With a NEET score of 344 in the ST category, it is highly unlikely to get admission in any government BDS college in Delhi through the All India Quota. The cutoff for government BDS seats in Delhi usually falls around 400–450 for ST category, so your score is below that range.
You can consider private dental colleges, state quota seats in other states, or reattempt NEET next year to improve your chances.

You may consider applying to private colleges under management quota or explore BDS seats in other states, but the chances remain very limited with this rank.

Hello Aspirant,
Since your payment status shows "S" , it means your payment is successful. The "payment unsuccessful" message on the form is likely a temporary system error or a delay in updating.
Do not make another payment.
Making a second payment could cause a double debit, which is difficult to get a refund for. You should:
Wait 24-48 hours for the status to update automatically.
Download and save a copy of your form and a screenshot of the "S" payment status as proof.
Check your bank statement to confirm the money has been debited.
If the issue is not fixed after 48 hours, contact the official CAT helpdesk immediately with your transaction details.
